A fabulous place to wander and learn about the countryside. Very informative guides and beautiful habitats.

This was a very good trip. I have been to Knepp many times and was hesitant to pay so much for a safari but I am glad I did. The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Knepp is a fascinating place and it is going to be very interesting to see how the beaver project develops over the next few years

All of the visit was superbly organised with a detailed introduction by experts in their fields. The visit to the beavers was certainly the highlight but the walk through Knepp was very enjoyable. The leaders were very helpful at all times. An excellent morning! It has inspired us to return in the Spring

A fascinating ‘lesson’ in re-wilding. Prior to visiting the beaver pen, the video and talk about the introduction of the badgers was very informative with time for questions, tea and brownies We were lucky to see roe deer, roaming cattle, storks on their nest in the distance and a handsome red deer stag made an appearance on the track after a walk around the beaver pen, where we marvelled and admired the industry of 2 beavers in a little over 2 years after their release into the pen. We leant about and witnessed the difference made to the landscape.
I thoroughly recommend this experience and thank Knepp for their endeavour in bringing back the ‘ wilderness’.

The beaver pen tour started with an interesting overview of the reintroduction project and information about beavers as well as a little about the other elements of rewilding at Knepp. We learned how the pools which beavers create will slow down the flow of rivers after heavy rain, reducing flooding downstream, and maintain flow during dry periods, reducing drought downstream.
Then it was a short ride in a safari vehicle to the beaver enclosure. At the moment, the beavers cannot be released into the wider landscape, so they're in a fenced area.
The description had made it clear that we wouldn't see the beavers themselves as they are nocturnal, but evidence of their presence and the impact which they're having on the landscape was all around, expertly described by our guide. We saw how they fell trees and remove parts for use in building their lodge and building dams. We waded, wellies definitely required, across the bottom of the enclosure to look at the lower dam.

We thought the price was quite expensive but after the tour we both decided it was well worth it and were very happy to have done it. A fantastic afternoon out starting off with tea and brownies while watching an introductory film and talk. Plenty of time for questions and some amazing photos and facts. Then onto the truck and off to the pen. Unbelievable all the work the beavers have done in 2 years. It was great having Mark as our guide as he showed us many things I think we would have walked past and not realised it was down to the beavers. First view of the dam was awe inspiring and the lodge - well, we didn't realise the size this would be. TV doesn't do it justice. My only disappointment was that the beavers didn't show up in person but then it was the middle of the afternoon!!!! Highly recommended tour. Thank you all.

We had a fantastic tour of the beaver enclosure at Knepp. It started with an introductory talk which set the scene and provided us with loads of information about beaver introductions and ecology.
We were then driven to the beaver enclosure and were shown the flooded areas, the dams and the lodge. There was plenty of recent evidence of beaver activity including felled willow and oak. It was amazing to see how much the beavers change the landscape and hear about the benefits that are derived from their activity.
We also had good sightings of the longhorn cattle, red deer, roe deer and a huge tamworth sow. Plus the storks were starting to nest. It is an astonishing place.
Our guides were hugely knowledgeable and able to answer all questions thrown at them. A huge thanks to both.
I couldn't recommend this more.

Turn it over to farming so working class kids can eat. Children are more important than longhorn cattle that has never existed in southern England. 16 miles of public footpath that a landowner is trying to make money from. Even if you want to pay £5 once for the tour what about people who want to use a public footpath regularly. The non native to the area longhorn is not particularly aggressive but is definately intimidating expecially for kids. Placed in the area to keep families from enjoying a walk on a public footpath free from fear. Rich people trying to keep the peasants off their land while appearing virtuous

We had a wonderful first experience of Knepp Farm on an afternoon Safari.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and inspiring, and took us to secret parts of the site. The sloe gin and nibbles was a very welcome treat.
We saw groups of flying Storks, Fallow deer and Red Deer, with bats circling us. As twilight approached hearing the bellowing Bucks and Stags was such an atmospheric and exciting experience.
Amazing place, and living proof that rewilding does work bringing back flora and fauna in a relatively short time - thoroughly recommend the experience.

We have been on previous safaris but particularly chose the autumn safari to get close up to the rutting deer. That experience did not disappoint and we had an excellent and knowledgeable guide but the best surprise came from having a barn owl flying around us on his evening swoop. What a treat!

Yes, toilets at the beginning/ end of the walk and tea/coffee/soft drinks plus chocolate brownies left for us to enjoy at a viewing platform part way through.
