A real pleasure to sit by the water below the falls. It is possible to swim, although cold. The waterfall is off a well-maintained forest trail. Mixed trees, especially kauri, and full of singing birds. Well sign-posted: different options to leave trail too. Boot-cleaning stations at trail exits. Most enjoyable day! Beautiful, Sacred and Peaceful.

Pretty easy walk from KeriKeri Stone store, once at the trailhead it’s an easy hike up to the falls. There is plenty to look at on the way up including an old powerhouse right off the trail. The falls are not huge, but its surely worth the hike. Plenty of parking.

Nice bush walk on easy track from the Kororipo Heritage Park picnic area/car park to this waterfall. It's around 20 minutes each way. Must look quite spectacular after some rain. I imagine it would be a nice swim in the waterhold on a hot day.

There has been some upgrading of the paths. There were few people there on our last visit 3 years ago, but now much busier. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, but don't make a special visit. Featured on a NZ stamp

This is park of the KeriKeri River Track. It is a serene resting place between river track entrances/exits to the city roads. As the sun and clouds moved across the sky, the color of the waterfall appeared to change.
The sounds of the waterfall, tui and cicadas fill the air.
Visited on a HOT day. Several people were enjoying cooling off swimming in the small lake which forms below the waterfall.

Easy walking kids loved it and would be great for dogs on a lead as well. Waterfall a highlight at the end

You can reach the falls via the Kerikeri River track. It is a nice 30 minute walk from the Stone store through tall Kauri trees and subtropical forest.
