Our girls had a great time surfing even though remnants of hurricane Debbie were making for some cold and rough conditions. Kurt was very helpful and kept a watchful eye on all three of them.

Friendly staff easy going rental process. Availability was excellent to get us surfing quickly. Great price on accessories my teen enjoyed purchasing (zinc, bracelets, etc)

Joey and Mikey were great instructors. They were friendly, helpful, easygoing and made our private lesson very enjoyable, a highlight of our visit!

My son (13) and I did a Stand Up Paddle Surf lesson with our instructor Mark. Two weeks prior I had planned on doing a solo lesson. The weather didn't look good for the original date and VB Surf reached out to me to reschedule for when there was a better forecast. It was my first indication of the type of professional and courteous service we would receive from the team. On the day of the lesson, I let VB Surf know that if we needed to adjust timing based on local conditions to let me know. On our drive down, Mark texted to let me know he was watching the weather and recommended a shift to an hour earlier. We had planned for this and were totally on board. We are an avid outdoor family who has "flat water" SUPed for 6 years prior so this was adding to our skillset and knowledge of equipment. Mark had no problem working with us both and was great at identifying key aspects for us to focus on. We had a mix of our own equipment and some VB Surf provided items like a wetsuit for my son and a board & paddle for me to test out. VB Surf had no problem letting us mix and match with our gear and theirs to help us learn the ropes. We had a great session with a knowledgeable area expert who had a great site to learn at. We are going to to another event with them in the Spring to get warmed up for Summer.

Me and my daughter were in Croatian Beach for the weekend and saw a VB Surf Session surf camp on the beach.
We approached the employees and asked them about how we can rent. They were extremely helpful and gave us one of the boards on the beach for a day and has a s paddle board delivered to our rental house.
We rented a surfboard and paddleboard for 2 days. After our rental, they conveniently picked up the boards from the beach for a nominal charge.
The rental fee was affordable, the service was punctual, the equipment was high quality.
I would definitely rent from them again next time I’m in VA Beach.

Fantastic, VB 2-hr beginner surf introduction for our 13yr old, He enjoyed it so much we booked a follow up session and already looking forward to our next visit. His instructor, Cameron C. made both experiences extremely comfortable and enjoyable. This is a definite must for anyone looking to try something new!

Rented a wetsuit, booties, etc so I can paddle out. The board selection was much better than expected and I was able to find a 5'7" alternative fish shape similar to what I actually ride at home. Excellent service and it allowed me to get a session in while traveling.

Surf lesson!! My 18 year old daughter loved her surf lessons with VB. The lesson was cut short and they were super accommodating with giving her the other hour the next day. We would definitely book another adventure with them as their customer service was phenomenal!!

VB Surf is always a great time. I've done the Yoga and surfing events and they are so much fun, especially for beginners.
I enjoyed the events so much that a friend and I signed up and took private lessons. All the instructors are great and love what they do.
I highly recommend VB Surf to beginners and everyone!

We have a trip to VA Beach planned the first week of June 2019. I think my family would enjoy the surf lessons but am concerned that the water temp will still be too cold. What is the water temp like at that time of year?

It may be a little chilly, but not too bad. I believe they do rent wetsuits if you think it will be too cold.
