The Christmas Town decor was wonderful and most, but not all, rides were in operation. We enjoyed our day/night at BG Williamsburg, but did not like that they have gone cashless and only accept credit cards. While I usually prefer to use my credit card, I don't think that BG should be charging a 5% charge on everything; they don't give you a choice except to go thirsty or hungry or not buy any of their already overpriced merchandise. It already costs way too much for a fun day as admission and parking are charged at a premium. We accept these costs, but not the extra 5% on every charge at their park. I am telling everyone I know so that they can make a choice BEFORE they get to BG. It's just wrong!

I have season passes for my whole family and we had such a miserable experience today that we ended up leaving before even entering the park. It began with a very rude parking attendant. When I asked for the manager- Kimberly- who was on site, she hid from me and refused to come over. After that the line to get into the park was so bad people were simply leaving. During every other holiday event such as Hallowscream that we have attended, the extremely large crowds did not result in this level of incompetence on the part of the Park. In fact I just attended with my family a week ago and did not experience any of this. I won’t be renewing my passes if things don’t change. I almost didn’t renew the passes a few months ago because last year was so bad you could not buy food because places simply weren’t open. And when you could buy food, half the time they were out of what you wanted after you stood in line for an hour. There was often not ice during the summer. I had hoped the Park had moved beyond that but after tonight I am in doubt.

This is, hands down, our favorite DC area park. The rides are great and Busch Gardens has beautiful theming and gorgeous landscaping. It's a fun walk 'around the world' and worth going even if you aren't a big thrill ride enthusiast. There's plenty for both our 7 and 12 year old to do. The food options are decent for an amusement park, and there are of course, great drinks on tap.

I always enjoy myself if Busch Gardens you'll get plenty of exercise from walking up & down the hilly valleys. They do provide drink stations and chairs periodically out throughout the park although they removed some due to the pandemic in which I think they shouldn't because you will get tired and will have to sit down. You can't bring your own chairs & wheelchair for accessible abilities. The rentals are very high, your health insurance card should help with that my suggestion. Long lines but sometimes it goes quick. They have different passes for everything, you'll have to ask that guest relations. I wish they had shuttle that can take you to your cars because after a long day at Busch Gardens it seemed like forever to get to your cars. I would advise anyone to stay if you can afford it. I enjoyed the entertainment and a different perks they give you with your tickets. They do take some customers advice to better their service and to make things convenient for everyone.

Hallow Screams 2023 was absolutely awful. In the first place,. we spent AN HOUR trying to get into the parking lot. A complete disorganized mess. You would think that Busch Gardens would have a handle on the parking after all this time but they clearly did not. The excuse was "we weren't expecting this many people." The park was so poorly lit I could not believe it. A distinct lack of employees, basically no characters in costume jumping out to scare you. No Halloween lights etc. I could go on and on.
Christmas Town is another story altogether and well worth it. Skip Hallow Screams at all costs.

We waited in a lot of traffic to get into the general parking lot. We paid $30 and asked the attendant where to go to park. She said they’ll guide you where to go. We followed the “guides” while we were still in a long line of traffic. Well they guided us right back out where we started an hour earlier! 😡 We ended up parking in the free parking lot across the street so we wasted $30. We talked to some other people inside the park and they said the same thing happened to them. The park is very confusing at night and I wished I would have downloaded the app. I’m sure that would have helped. We got hungry and tried to find a good sit down place to eat. The only one we found had a 90 minute wait so we ended up ordering from a food truck. That took about 40 minutes and the food was not very good. The park has very limited food options at 9 PM. The crowds were awful but I guess we should have expected that. There’s a lot of hills and steps to climb so wear comfortable shoes or you’ll be miserable. We won’t be going back.

We really enjoyed our time at the park, we went for howl-o-scream, got the Fall bounce ticket for Colonial Williamsburg as well.
We found the park easy to navigate using the maps in the park itself (the mobile app not so much) we got on all the rides we could without much wait.
The park was clean, the interactions with staff were all great. Varied selection of merchandise. The food and drink was of good standard.
Howl-o-scream(which you get to experience with a normal ticket) had a fun atmosphere, walking around the park at night was an experience. We found the houses not as scary as they could be but still enjoyable.
The rollercoasters are all fantastic- Loch Ness Monster was a surprise favourite.

1. Starting with the VIP parking purchased….after long lines to enter the parking area we were finally directed to put our hazards on and to show our VIP placard to be directed to the VIP parking area. No direction or instructions were given by any vest wearing employee as to where we should go instead when showing our hazards or placard instead we were directed to follow all vehicles to a lot across the street from the park grounds. This was a huge safety concern as there are no legitimate crosswalks or even lights at night to safely cross. At best there is an unmanned police vehicle with the lights on. So I basically paid extra for general parking across the street in an abandoned lot and was put at risk to cross the highway to access the entrance of the park. A complete waste of time and money!

2. I understand it’s Halloween themed, but there is absolutely no way to see or find anything in the pitch black areas of the park. Some kind of guidelights or actual assigned person to guide folks would make such a difference. The directional posts are completely oblivious in the dark.

3. Waited in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes to access the infested diner. (The option to pay for a fast pass is available at $200 per person plus fees, so a family of four is about $845) I would have been fine with the wait in line if the haunted house would have lasted longer than the 3-5 minute walk through that it did. (I have been to haunted walk throughs put on by high schoolers that lasted 15-20 min that was much better than the cost and wait of what I experienced at Busch gardens last night.
With 4-5 haunted houses to visit and lines over an hour to wait there is no way anyone is hitting all of them in the scheduled hours of 6-11pm
You would think Busch gardens would take the route of reserving time slots for groups for the houses so that people can experience the whole park, eat, spend money while waiting and head to their scheduled time slot but instead you are left to wait in an unsupervised line where people cut, everyone is uncomfortable, annoyed and more.

4. It feels like the park is crammed to the point where it’s just busting at the seams. Long lines, can’t see in the pitch black, irritable people make it an extremely unpleasant experience.
Busch Gardens Cap your limit for the park, make it enjoyable for your customers and they’ll want to stay and spend more money but instead you cram the park and try to force folks to pay for quick cues thinking it’s advantageous to do so.

5. The decor that could be seen looked amazing and was well done, the performers and the actors who were meant to scare folks walking did phenomenal. That’s about all that can be said for the staff of the park, no one else seems to give a damn.
Purchased a $7 soda and tried to replace for a cold one because the one I was given was warm, was told I just restocked they’re all warm….should you really be charging $7 for warm sodas? Do better Busch Gardens, not for me, for your future customers. There are options out there for everyone, now I know Busch Gardens may not be one for me in the future.

Very nice scenery. Good rides: Rollercoaster. Family friendly. Nice restaurants; a bit pricey though.

Yes. We went a couple of years ago. There were shows to see. Warming stations. Since it gets cold. Plenty of food. The place is beautifully decorated for holidays. Have fun

Where can we use the all-day-dining option? Only at sit-down restaurants or anywhere where an "entree" is served (is there a list of where we can use the option?)?
Also, can we add the all-day-dining option to a fun card when we're at the park?
