This trail starts in town at the local BoatYard, so enjoy the bustle and the boats in moorage, then continue along the water past the Paper Mill into the trees. The trail is fine for walking and bicycles, with plenty of room to avoid collisions, and is well maintained.

I have several photos and videos of this trail and surrounding areas. Nothing negative could be said about the place, really. It's an extremely scenic walk/bike ride as it's right beside the Port Townsend Bay and winds though a forested area just past the Paper Mill. It's a fairly clean trail, too. I'm glad people are responsible enough to utilize the various garbage cans and dog poop stations there.

This trail goes a long way all along the water and through the adjoining forests and land. You can walk or ride your bike along it and feel quite safe doing so. Even on cool days it is protected by trees throughout most of the walk.

The Larry Scott Trail begins on the water in Port Townsend and quickly becomes a beautifully wooded, well groomed path in the forest for walkers and bikers. We did 5 of the 14 miles from sea to sea. Can’t wait to return!!

I love this trail!! They have done a great job in having it lead you through a variety of different areas to walk. It starts out of the Port Townsend Boat Haven and leads you along the water for awhile, eventually going through a long line of trees, by horse ranches, etc. It's not incredibly busy or crowded and it's good for a wonderful, meditative walk.

This local walking trail offers spectacular waterfront views and historic perspectives on the Port Townsend marina side segment. It’s worth a look see as you take in the the many aspects of this old town. Give it a go.

starts off from Port Townsend with nice view of bay. easy grade.couple of benches/tables with good views. about 7 miles.spring/summer are better. can get muddy in winter. not paved has 3 porta potties.

My husband, friends and I have ridden this trail many times. It's quite scenic, traveling along the water for the first part, then winding under the highway and through beautiful wooded trails.

We saw this path on a google maps and realize people can travel 138 miles from Port Townsend to the western points of the Olympic peninsula. We only went 2 miles before turning around near the paper mill. Its a great hike along the waterfront. The paper mill does not make for good photography but everything else is great.

I have walked parts of this trail, but never bicycled from one end to the other and back before until recently. 15 mile round trip is perfect for older folks in good shape or families. You can park at either end or in the middle and judge how far you want to go. There are only two short stretches that are a little challenging, but doable in a low gear. There is a little confusion with driveways and private roads, but the designers and builders did a wonderful job navigating those issues and making this wonderful recreational masterpiece. MORE!! Extend the trail! Thanks for the great work!
