If someone were just stopping in for ice cream in the shop, they might miss all that goes on behind the scenes. Food crops are seasonal, small buildings are quaint, the massive greenhouses filled with herbs, ferns, perennials and annuals. Antique buildings, trucks and tractors too. I personally loved taking a stroll to see the goats, ducks, hens and rooster, llama, curly haired pigs, goose and more. And don’t miss Lucy, the resident dog greeter. I met Mr. Hunter, the son, and he was hands on helpful and informative.

my grandchildren come to visit me a few times each year and from the time they show up until I finally relent its " can we go back to Hunter farms" its a great place with wonderful fresh produce . the most delicious homemade ice cream you will ever taste and the kids love the animals, especially the Emu, that has a tendency to steal your ice cream cone while you pose for pictures. on our last trip the kids were offered a free scoop if they would help catch a baby duck that had escaped. and they were overjoyed to help. if you ask me they release one on purpose just so the kids can scream and run and try to catch it. wonderful people, nice dog, good snacks, just a great family experience.

I would usually stop at Hunter's Farm for a bag of ice after fishing the Skoke for salmon. Ice cream is great, the prices are not crazy, the produce is fresh and the people are very friendly. Hopefully people stop and give them customers. Since fishing on the Skoke has been shut down I am sure that has hurt this family farm store.

I take my grandchildren to Hunters Farm several times a year. We love the scenic drive there and go for the homemade ice cream and jellies but end up with bags of fresh produce also! The kids, no matter what age, love to visit all the animals and hold a bunny or two. It’s a fun day and great for family time. There’s also limited fishing on the Skok along the way!

As far as the Nursery goes, it was pretty good. Its an old local working farm with nice people and a small inside store that serves great local ice cream! Over all its a bit tired and could use some Retail Love, but I don't think that's the objective here. People were really nice and they have a really wonderful selection of foods that put up there with their local produce.

This roadside business run by locals, carry seasonal foods and local fresh seafood including salmon, manila clams, oysters. Have seasonal things like pumpkins.

Whenever my wife and I are out here on vacation from New Jersey we enjoy stopping by Hunter Farms to see what they have fresh or different. This time we were greeted by their friendly dog who enticed us into a round of fetch with its ball. Next time, we’ll have bring back some of their smoked salmon to NJ with us.

This is our grocery store for fresh grown natural food. We are hear about twice a month in winter and twice a week in summer. Honey, root vegetables, flowers, ice cream and much more. This family has been farming here for a very long time and have been good stewards of the land.

We stopped here on a Sunday. We were unsure what to expect but it was an exciting stop. My wife & I walked the grounds of Hunter Farms to find a barn housing a variety of animals, ducks, burros, cows and an ostrich! We walked through the barn and enjoyed seeing the animals. The country store on the same property was full of local produce. Priced to sell, we grabbed some staples including Hunter Farms jarred Salsa and Garlic Pickles. Great experience in the country side.

Nice produce, yummy ice cream, beautiful greenhouse and awesome salsa. The animals in the barn are a HUGE bonus for those with a young family.
