This is not an ideal trail for kids, because there are too many steep drops, & many tripping hazards. I was clenching my son to slow down the last quarter mile. Other than that the trail was perfect.

The end of this trail provides a view of the bridge. We found the trail to be more difficult than Endless Wall. The trail does not have a lot of areas to stop and see the views. There is a lot of climbing to get to the top, so hiking sticks, appropriate hiking foot wear should be a must.

Great hike - beautiful at the end with view of the bridge. Not too difficult. Would definitely recommend.

Little scary but worth it to see the views of the river and the endless wall! Would highly recommend. Easy hike for the most part.

This moderately difficult but not-too-long trail rewards you with a stunning cross-section view of the New River Gorge Bridge.

We went to this trail around 3pm on a weekday. The parking area wasn't busy, only about half the spots were filled. It did have a portapotty. We hiked this pretty quickly, there are some rocks and elevation at the very end. The view is breathtaking. There is one really perfect spot for pictures, so if you get there with lots of other people you will have to wait to take pics.

Did this trail with my 11 and 13 year old grandchildren. It’s a nice 3 mile round trip Trail with awesome views at the overlook!

If you only have time for one hike at New River Gorge this is the one to take! The scenic overlook had a stunning view of the bridge. Easy to moderate difficulty, out to the overlook and back is about 3 miles. There's a primitive toilet at the trailhead.

Based on heat index, take some water with you and give yourself at least 2 hrs to hike and soak in all of that WV nature!

Elevation changes are gradual so you should be fine. I personally wouldnt let it stop me and I’m older. I would don that raincoat and look at the rain as an extra element of adventure to the hike!
