“Great Introduction to the New River Gorge Area”

这是一个不错的介绍新的峡谷和河流的桥。在访问者的建筑有很棒的河景和一个小但是装修得很丰富的博物馆有很多关于这个区域的信息。有两个漂亮的,不同的路径旁边的停车场步行到看到桥提供了一些很好的照片。很好的地方就是你可以使这里成为一个短暂停留并绕过建筑出门去看看大桥,或者多花一点次来获取这一地区的感觉通过浏览博物馆和步行路径。

Lovely views of bridge from the stairway down to the lookout point (176?) stairs back up🙂Worthy stop. If someone can't take the stairs, there is a lovely view from inside the visitor center building.

A beautiful and well designed National Park center, Lora of parking, easy to get to, immediate access to short trails leading to the big views. Bathrooms and overall area looked clean and cared for. Can highly recommend!

Just a great site

The visitor center itself was so well maintained and clean. The views from back deck were awesome. The walk down to the bridge overview was outstanding. Lots of parking. Two teenage boys stayed engaged.

Good First Stop

We have a rule. To get a National Park stamp, we have to visit the Visitor Center, see the video and take a hike. So the first stop is the Visitor Center. It’s a new-ish Center with an open feel and large glass windows overlooking the gorge at one end. The Center is a bit hidden in the woods. There are a number of displays about the geography/geology/history of New River Gorge. We had a nice Ranger helping us find something to do. And a great view of the Gorge.

Wonderful visitor center!

The view from the Canyon Rim Visitor Center was excellent as we were able to view the New River Gorge Bridge and the gorge from the very top at the
center.We also had the option of taking the steps outside leading all the way down allowing us to admire the bridge and gorge from close quarters.

Busy Day on Bridge Day

A Busy place on Bridge Day. Not easy to get to. Well staffed and helpful. Nice over look of the river on one side and a path to a lookout location to see the bridge. Several picnic tables. Bookstore and restrooms.

Great views

Nice visitors center with a small museum to explain the history of the area. There is a small gift shop. Don't forget your passport book for National Parks. Great views of the Gorge and bridge. There is a scenic view to walk to with 2 levels of viewing. The lowest viewing area has 178 steps down and up but has stopping locations to rest. The staff are very Fri and helpful.

Great stop! Good on a rainy or sunny day.

Excellent spot to stop in and learn a bit about the area. Plus the VIEW! The view alone is worth stopping. My 12 year old really enjoyed the visitor center.
