If you want to see a movie while visiting the Dells area, this is NOT the place. They may advertise dream loungers in the previews, but the seats you get here are far from dream loungers and are more like lawn chairs. They're itchy, small and very uncomfortable. Also, the lobby and theatre itself are filthy. A few of us felt like we needed to shower when we got home.

Friend and I were visiting the area over a long weekend, and we decided to stop by the AMC Desert Star theater to watch a movie. Location was minimally staffed at the time of our arrival. With nobody working the front desk/ticket booth, we had to purchase our tickets at the concession stand. Girl working the counter was very polite and friendly, but it appeared that she was the only worker available to sell tickets and concessions (which caused a bit of a backlog of customers).
Theater was fairly clean, altough it could use some updating and general maintenance. Seats were older and not very comfrotable. Bathroom also had a broken papertowel dispenser, which left no way to dry hands.

You can tell they are trying to turn this place around! Went to go see Shang Chi and loved how friendly the staff was. They were out of mellow yellow, but as soon as i told them they were very quick to refill it for me!

My family has been to this theatre multiple times, and up until tonight, we've always had a good experience. Tonight, the theatre where we watched the movie was absolutely filthy. If I wouldn't have had my daughters with me, I would have walked out and asked for a refund. It was obvious by all the trash and litter all over the floors that no cleaning is taking place in between movies. In addition, we preordered popcorn, which was ready for us when we got there, but it was stale and they made us put the butter on ourselves out of a plastic cup. Not worth $8 each. I get that the movie industry is hurting right now, but cleanliness is everything right now. I'll be leery about going back next time we're in the Dells.

I enjoy taking my son to see all the new fun movies. He loves the kids snack pack and i love that it is always a pleasant experience. The variety of food at the snack bar is really a great bonus!

As someone who has been going to this theatre for many years it is easy to see a decline happening. Instead of the 15 shows featured on the website for this theatre, you are lucky if 6 or 7are actually playing. Cleanliness is also on the decline. Many times there no personnel is on hand to take money and hand out tickets. Instead the concession person handles that including concession orders causing a backlog. Where is management?

This AMC Theater was easy to find and a good deal. The staff could be a bit more friendly. I ordered online and was rudely addressed when I was in line. There was only one staff member working and he scanned my paperwork while working with the regular line at the same time. I thought this was a bit rude to the people he was working with but he barked his order for me to come up to the front of the line and I followed directions.
The food was good and priced similar to other theaters. This theater was comfortable but a bit dirty. The floor and chairs in the theater were dirty and there was trash on the floor.

Not good staff bad messy and if you buy stuff they don’t tell you anything about it like how big free refills stuff like that

My family and I have been going to this theater for 19 years and it has taken a turn for the worse. Understaffed and filthy. The staff is always friendly but seem to be pulled a million different directions.
