One of those must visit and do sights when in the near vicinity. Parking during weekends and holidays is at a premium and may require those wishing to walk the bridge to walk just a little more than the bridge itself. Still it is one of those activities which may well feature on “gumboot lists” and is a fun thing to do.

Had to go through quite a few suburbs to get to the bridge while towing a large van. This was a spectacular view once we finally got there. Wish the bridge was longer though!

An absolute masterpiece of a bridge! We drove it (twice!) and walked it. The views are spectacular and you can see remnants of the old road against the cliff. Unfortunately, parking is minimal, so if you want to walk it, go in off peak season.

We stopped at Bald Hill lookout to get an elevated viewpoint of this bridge which we were planning on driving across. There are also parking areas on both ends of the bridge where you can get out and walk onto the bridge to get a better understanding of why it was built over the water and away from the unstable cliffs. Definitely worth a short stop.

We were in Wollongong for a few days and took a drive along the Sea Cliff Bridge.
The scenery is well worth the drive.
Once you drive along the bridge via Wollongong, you can do a U turn and drive back. On the return trip you can park on the side of the road and walk the bridge.
A must do if you are in the area 👌

Don't bother. Unless you go perhaps at the crack of dawn. What should be one of the most wonderful scenic walks in the country is spoiled by by an almost constant conga line of loud and backfiring motorbike and car exhausts. At best, it's mildly annoying but at worst, in peak times on the weekends, particularly Sundays, these d**kheads in loud, sometimes earsplitting cars and bikes render the ambience of the walk closer to that of Passchendaele circa 1917 than that of a coastal surf vista.

lovely walk. However try to park at the end of the bridge south bound. I also recommend stopping at Bald Hill look out and if it is a good day you will also see some hang gliders. You can also try out tandem hang gliding for around $250 for 20 minutes

We drove this route north to south just before sunset on our way to Kiama. There is a parking bay at the southern end of the bridge. You can get off there and walk a bit along the bridge (there is a walking path)

We did manage to fly the drone here as you really get a true sense of how the bridge hugs the coastline from above. There aren't any boards just yet about drone flying, so you can get some stunning images on a good day. Couldn't take my little mini too far though as it was quite windy.
The Stanwell lookout just north of the Seacliff Bridge is another spot to get an aerial view without a drone (though it's just a bit too far).
We heard about the secret path which goes up along the side of the cliff to get aerial views, but as it isn't a marked path and there have been many accidents, we decided to skip it.

I returned to drive the Sea Cliff Bridge, after a previous motorcycle visit.
The drive/ride along with beach front all the way through Stanwell Park would have to be a locals favourite, very picturesque

I visited Sea Cliff Bridge on a day trip from Sydney with a friend, we caught the train from Central station to Thirroul then a bus from Thirroul to Scarbouragh and got off near the Arts and Crafts museum.
We walk across the bridge and stopped at various points for photos and to read the information about the bridge being built ( this is in great need of repair as it is faded and not helpful if you want to know the history if the are).
A casual walking pace with a nice breeze took about 30 mins to cross, once we reached the other side at Coalcliff my friend and I caught the bus back to Scarbouragh for lunch.
This was a great day and the scenery was spectacular.

I woulk like travel to seacliff bridge by train from central train station, please guide me i get down at coalcliff train station or scaboeough train statuon. Then from the station by walking, how far distance to arrive at seacliff bridge from the above train station? Thanks

Hi we (the girls) went by train and the guys went buy car. We got of at coal cliff station, don't forget to tap off when you get off the train, because once you have crossed the bridge, there isn't a tap off the other side! We had to go back over the bridge!! There's a lot of step going from the platform, and over the bridge and then down another set of steps . We had a baby in a pram, so was quite an effort. It took us about five minutes to walk to the picnics site by the beach and about another five mins to the start of the bridge. It's a beautiful walk and well worth the trip.
