The Refuge is also worth more than a visit, to be able to observe and interact with the donkeys at various times of their day: it is a magical, peaceful and relaxing place. The animals communicate sweetness and and sympathy, the park lends itself to picnics and readings. Just outside the Refuge, comfortable and pleasant paths start in the woods, all for a very special day. Ci torneremo!

I love donkeys, visiting this place was a wonderful experience. The volunteers take care of them, they are cared for and well looked after.
Some let themselves be cuddled with scratches behind the ears, others are more shy. Visit the place by taking a nice walk amidst the greenery. It's right to support associations like this since entry is free; you can contribute by bringing apples, carrots or fennel to leave at the entrance to the info point, which will then be distributed to the donkeys or buy souvenirs (there are postcards, magnets, caps, t-shirts or sweatshirts, for all tastes and costs). Check the opening days on the refuge website which is not always open, but on scheduled dates that you find on the website (the opening is usually on some Saturdays and Sundays of the month)

It was closed!! They only open certain days. Unfortunately from Switzerland in the area to relax and see something, and then they inform you of the wrong things?

Sono stata il 25 aprile con la mia figlia e un'altra coppia di amici con figli, è stata un'esperienza meravigliosa che ha divertito e arricchito tutti quanti... Il rifugio degli Asinelli è tenuto benissimo, gli animali sono coccolati dai volontari, si vede che vengono accuditi con il massimo rispetto. Non si paga nulla per visitare questo posto, se volete potete portare frutta o verdura da lasciare all'Info Point, e poi i volontari provvederanno a distribuirli agli animali.
All'Info Point vendono dei gadget a tema asinelli, ci sono due distributori di bevande calde e snack, e i bagni sono molto puliti (c'è anche il fasciatoio).
Ci sono anche dei tavoli da picnic e delle panchine dove potersi fermare.
In alternativa, a 10 minuti a piedi lungo la strada, si trova il Santuario della Madonnina, con un prato dove fare picni oppure un'area attrezzata con tavoli e possibilità di posizionare griglie.
All'Info Point vendono dei gadget a tema asinelli, ci sono due distributori di bevande calde e snack, e i bagni sono molto puliti (c'è anche il fasciatoio).
Ci sono anche dei tavoli da picnic e delle panchine dove potersi fermare.

Finalmente siamo ritornati in questa oasi di pace! Vedere tanti asini e muli così ben accuditi, curati (nel vero senso della parola) è veramente un piacere. Il personale è cordiale, gentile e disposto a dare spiegazioni a noi curiosoni!!! Davvero tanti complimenti

Luogo splendido, asinelli belli e ben curati. Mulo che porta il mio nome (doppiamente per me importante in quanto sono graduato in congedo del Battaglione Alpini Aosta") splendido. Ci faccio un salto appena riesco e sto meditando di divenire volontario!

C'è un"area sosta per i camper nei paraggi?

Nel parcheggio del rifugio ho visto dei camper posteggiato e circa 100 metri prima dEl rifugio ho visto un credo campeggio dove vi erano anche li dei camper, vicino alla trattoria che ho pranzato e che ho recensito qui. Non so però darle informazioni a riguardo più dettagliate.
