Jo's used to be a decent spot. I am not sure why it has gone into decline, but it is not what it used to be. The fried chicken is reminiscent of the institutional food from a 1980's TV dinner. The burgers are passable, but there are a lot of better options within close driving distance. The salad bar has gotten better in recent history, and the horseradish bar cheese on crackers is quite good. Not so great when that is the culinary highlight. The beer is cold and the staff friendly. Go there for a drink before heading somewhere else for dinner.

Very friendly place; however, if the place is busy, be prepared to wait, and I mean WAIT for a long time.
Was there last Sunday on an Iowa Car Run and there were only two staff working. Although they tried hard, it took them more than an hour to make two sandwiches! In their defense, someone should have called ahead and warned them! Maybe they could have staffed up?

Good food, good service. Good down home cooking food! Good prices too! Will be eating here again, and again!
