Our family had an amazing trip with Keith! We loved the experience we had with him. He did a fabulous job of teaching us about the history of the parks and the science about the formation of this beautiful land. We are forever grateful for this wonderful experience. Thank you Keith!

I and 2 friends, recently enjoyed a 2 day tour of Yellowstone National Park, with Keith. What a fantastic trip. Keith is an exceptional guide and, being a geology professor, really brought the trip to life, with his knowledge of geology, history and nature. His charm and humour came to the fore when he was telling his stories and made the two days so very interesting and a lot of fun.
He showed great attention to detail with everything from the wonderful food he had brought along for us, to the timing of our stops at places, like Old Faithful, timing it perfectly for us to see the geyser erupting and having lunch delivered to the table exactly as we walked back into the restaurant!
Keith went out of his way to deliver what we had asked for, in relation to sights, hikes and views. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and hope to be able to tour with him again.

Keith was a remarkably helpful and engaging guide. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and remarkably clear in describing natural phenomena in geology, biology, history, and even politics. I would highly recommend him. However, there were a few disappointing elements: he was not an especially good listener, so he didn't always answer the question that was asked. But the loss of the star came at the very end, leaving a sour taste in our mouths that deteriorated our experience. He asked, "No tip?" in a harsh and challenging tone. Perhaps he had a right to be surprised, but he came across as demanding. I'd still recommend him, highly, but would have strongly preferred he was more gracious in asking for more than the agreed-upon fee.

My friends and I enjoyed a most wonderful and informative two day tour of Yellowstone National Park with Keith. He is probably the most entertaining, knowledgeable and attentive guide I have ever had and I have travelled all over the world with numerous guides! He is an actual geologist whose facts about the earth are astounding, with rock samples and graphs to back up his knowledge. He is also entertaining with stories, costumes and props to make the trip interesting. He knows all the best places to see in the park plus all the most possible places to view wildlife. We wanted to see wolves and he delivered by getting us in the most strategic spot to view a pack of six wolves eating on a bison carcass. He has a powerful telescope so that we could get an outstanding image. He also provided us with a gourmet lunch and plenty of drinks and snacks along the way. Thank you Keith for giving us "the best" tour of Yellowstone.

I and my two friends, with whom I've traveled the world, enjoyed this week, a 2-day tour of Yellowstone with Keith, departing from and returning us to our Wilson, Wyoming doorstep. Keith met with me ahead of time to ascertain our interests, food preferences, and needs. His knowledge of the geology, flora, fauna, and history of this area is nothing short of astounding; add to that his use of props, wigs, puppets and other learning tools, he not only educated us, but he entertained us as well. Keith bent over backwards to show us places we had not visited before and the wildlife that we were keen to view; additionally, knowing we were hikers, he scouted off-the-beaten-path hike ahead of our trip, many of which we ultimately couldn't fit in. He picked us up promptly at 6:30am the first day, and didn't finish hiking with us (after we had checked in at Roosevelt Lodge) until 8pm. The next morning, after bringing me his fresh brewed coffee at 5:45am, we left a 6am in search of wolves. Keith deftly found us 6 members of the "Junction Butte" pack feasting on a bison carcass in the Lamar Valley, which we were able to view through his spotting scope for over an hour. After dozens more scenic stops, hikes and a gourmet picnic lunch, Keith dropped us back at home about 7pm that second evening, putting in 13+hours on both of our guided days. As an aside, I would say: Take two (or more) days to see Yellowstone! Don't try to do it in one day...it's simply impossible to do it justice in that little time. We LOVED our two-day trip with Keith.

Keith is incredibly passionate about what he does and his joy is contagious. He is unbelievably knowledgeable, hilarious, and a pleasure to be with. He comes prepared with an abundance of food, drinks, supplies, and stories. Keith was a professor of geology and is a true teacher at heart. He was our guide in both Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. My whole family learned a ton while enjoying every second of it! He is also flexible - and accommodated our multiple and outrageous bathroom stops!!!! Thanks for everything Keith - we’ll see you in Utah!!

We had a group of 45 people from a Trade Organization, meeting at Chico Hot Springs in early August. Contracted Earth Tours to give Yellowstone Geology Lecture and drive the North Loop for a one day bus tour. Keith Watts was utterly fantastic. We wouldn't let him go on the Lecture, which was extremely interesting. Bus tour left Pryor, WY in the AM and stopped at Mammouth Hot Springs, continuing to the Norris Geyer Basin, and two Stops at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Keith was very entertaining during the entire trip. Had dinner at the Mammouth Hotel, before returning to Chico Hot Springs. Would definitely us him for small groups (4 to 20) on next trip. Well done Keith

We (11 family members, 6 adults and 5 boys aged 15 - 11) had been planning a trip to Yellowstone for 2 years. After arrangements were made, one of our party wound up in a boot cast and crutches for months. I thought that for all of us to enjoy the parks together, a private tour would be the way to go. Thank goodness we found Earth Tours!! We took a private tour of Yellowstone with Keith Watts on July 30th. It was absolutely amazing!! We were picked up at our lodging right on time with coffee and the most amazing bagels to start our day. Keith made room for the crutches and a scooter (and had excellent, persuasive advice on when to use the scooter!). The logistics of the day were flawless; Keith had updates on the geysers, weather, parking, you name it and Keith had a plan for it. He knew where to park at each stop to avoid crowds, how to order lunch and get a table at the Old Faithful Inn, best timing for seeing wildlife, restroom breaks, Keith covered it all! He kept all of us moving and on schedule, even with someone on crutches! Keith's knowledge of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone was phenomenal. He really painted the picture of how the parks were formed, how the landscape is always changing and really made the parks come to life. Keith had binoculars and stories that kept the boys entertained for a long 12 hour day. He went out of his way to talk to each of them and answered all of their questions. There was no 'when is this over' or wanting to look at phones/electronic devices. The boys LOVED their adventure! We all enjoyed the afternoon snacks too. My husband is a teacher, and was so impressed with Keith's knowledge, presentation and humor throughout the day. The tour made seeing the parks together as a family possible and so enjoyable, and I couldn't be more grateful. We have such amazing memories of this family trip. I highly recommend Earth Tours, and Keith Watts as your guide! Thank you!!

We had a private half-day tour exploring the Burr Trail and Waterpocket Fold. Our guide Ace is very passionate about the area and a wonderful advocate for Earth Tours. He took excellent care of our family of four (ranging in ages from 21-70) and had a lot of interesting stories to share with us. We cruised in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle and had several stops along the way for some short hiking to stretch our legs and fully appreciate the beauty of this region, including a lovely little slot canyon. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip through Southern Utah! Boulder is a beautiful small town, and we wished we could have stayed longer to explore. I would definitely recommend this company and we would not hesitate to tour with them in the future!

A friend of mine went to Yellowstone and Jackson a few years ago. When I asked her advice regarding planning, Keith's tour was the only "must do" on her list. She said the tour was the highlight of her trip and she regrets not taking the entire family with her to Wyoming so they could share the experience. Luckily, Keith was able to fit us in during our stay (I did not do a good job of planning ahead for this trip). I was slightly apprehensive regarding the price but, this was a once in a lifetime trip. Honestly, this tour was worth every single penny. We saw sights we NEVER would have discovered on our own. Keith plans out every single detail - from morning coffee to evening snacks. He knows the area literally inside (as in beneath the earth's crust) - out. We had spent a significant amount of time in Grand Teton National Park prior to our tour. Once Keith began speaking, I realized that I knew nothing about the area - I learned so much in such a short amount of time. Once at Yellowstone, he was able to get us to see the Beehive Geyser go off which was MUCH more spectacular than seeing Old Faithful (still amazing but, Beehive was much more exciting). Yellowstone is so big, Keith gets you to the good parts - I didn't even know there was a canyon in Yellowstone - and it's VERY impressive and beautiful. I am so happy Keith brought us to see it - we would have missed it completely if on our own.
Even better than the views was the entertainment Keith supplied during our drives. His stories are captivating, informative, and entertaining. The kids loved the stories and already talk about seeing Keith again so they can hear the other 2 stories we didn't have time for.
We were able to see elk, buffalo, antelope, osprey (complete with a baby in the nest!), and we just missed a bear. Keith knew where to go and - most importantly - WHEN to be there. Again, this tour was worth every single cent.

Hi! I'd like to know if you can accommodate a large private party of 11 people? We're taking a family trip (3 sisters, our husbands and sons) and are so excited to explore Yellowstone and Grand Tetons together. We're staying in Wilson, but could meet a guide anywhere in Jackson Hole area. We are so looking forward to this trip of a lifetime, and I think a private tour would make it so memorable for us all. Thank you!
