This hiking tour is unforgetable to write at the least. You will be glad to walk on flat land when it's finished. The 3 miles hike is up and down and at the end was the lava flow but it stopped. But still a wonderful journey to learn how lava after its been rested for many years.

Fabienne begins her sessions by holding and floating me above water to enable me to know what it feels like to float so that in turn, I could float on my own.
While being floated by Fabienne I felt liked being supported and held as I was being floated above the water. Fabienne was my arms and legs. All I had to do was be there. I felt free. My body felt free, Unburdened.
It was cool to feel my body floating side to side using my torso instead of arms and legs like a floating mermaid. If felt very connected and tied to the life within the pond. I finally understood what being like a mermaid in the oecan feels like in water.
It was one of the most amazing experiences. I would highly recommend it!
Bonus: I got some amazing memories and pictures from it. I can now float in water and be still.

Nous avons découvert la partie volcanique de l'ile avec Fabienne. Même s'il n'y avait pas de lave, nous avons découvert plein d'autres choses. Dont une piscine naturelle chaude. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un massage aquatique, c'était super agréable!Fabienne nous a même donné plein de fruits :)

Fabienne notre guide bilingue, a su faire de cette journée d’exploration de la région des volcans une expérience mémorable. Du milieu de l’avant-midi, jusqu’à tard en soirée, nous sommes allés voir des grottes couvertes de lave, des cascades avec baignade, de la randonnée dans la forêt, le coucher de soleil au sommet du volcan Mauna Loa. Un must do sur Hawaii

Nous avons été enchanté par le dynamisme et la bonne humeur de Fabienne!
Elle nous a transmis sa passion pour cette île magnifique et elle nous a également livrée également quelques secrets.
Notre tour était composé de visite de cascades, tunnel de lave et également un magnifique point de vue en altitude pour admirer le coucher de soleil et les étoiles.
Je recommande vivement! Spécialement pour son prix et pour sa maîtrise parfaite de la langue française si l’anglais n’est pas votre fort!
Allez y les yeux fermés.

In our tour was included : waterfalls visit and swimming, lava tunnel (thrilling) and an amazing spot in altitude to see the sunset and the stars!
If you still hesitate go for it !

I've been on a number of trips with Fabienne, and she never disappoints. Lava viewings, volcano hikes, Mauna Kea sunsets, tide pool meditations, swimming with dolphins and manta rays... if there is something to be done on the Big Island, Fabienne will show you the way. Do let her know what your interests are and she will be more than happy to guide you to your next adventure. I'm so happy to have met her (at a tango class of all places!!!) and I look forward to my next visit!!!

I made a tour with Fabienne in February 2017 when there was still lava flows and lava lake. The landscapes were just stunning of course but Fabienne herself is just a wonderful and spiritual human being I am glad to know ! She is still there writing sometimes to me to give wise advice for my own pathway ! I am so grateful to her !!! ✨🌺

Die Reiseführer empfehlen die Wanderung zur Lava mit einem Führer, dieser Empfehlung kann ich mich nur voll und ganz anschließen.
Das Naturschauspiel ist wirklich großartig, so nah an fließender Lava zu sein ist einfach umwerfend.
Wir haben die Wanderung in einer 6er Gruppe mit Fabienne unternommen. 2 Franzosen, 2 Frankokanadier und wir. Zu unserem Leidwesen kam keine Konveration zu stande, da Fabienne mehr gefallen am Fränzösisch als am Englisch hatte. Ich spreche kaum Französisch und mein Freund überhaupt nicht. Fakten wurden dann ab und zu auch ins Englische transferiert. Das war der einzige Wermutstropfen. Und wer mit Fabienne unterwegs ist sollte sich auf ein knackiges Lauftempo, aber viel Zeit zum Verweilen bei der Lava einstellen 😉

We flew Hawaiian Air to the Big Island and rented a little house on the lava fields not far from where the hike began. We stayed two full days and one night. I’m not sure if I can post the site I used to find the house, but I’m sure it won’t be difficult to guess how to locate a vacation home rented by owners! I found the House of Fire store on the map and searched for the house from that location. Keep in mind that Kona is almost two hours away, Hilo is 45 minutes.

The lava hike. From 4 pm until about 10 pm. loved it!
