Pros: Great & patient guide in Alan
beautiful river to kayak on and beautiful waterfall at the end of our hike
Cons: Until we got there we didn't know that we would we walking in hip deep water and that the "moderate" hike was muddy and slippery. We were warned before we left, but I will be honest, I didn't realize how slippery, slippery was. Because it was so slippery, I could not enjoy the scenery on our hike - I had to look down at all times. And I fell a couple of times on the walk back. Granted it was a wet February, this may not be the case in other months.
They warn you no flip flops or crocs, but I would say that I would ONLY wear hiking sandals (with good traction). My husband had gym shoes that got soaked in the river and I chose to wear water shoes with some traction but not enough traction for the trail.
