We had a fantastic tour of Kauai with Island Helicopters. The booking process was easy and our pilot, Isabelle, was a consummate professional and hugely knowledgeable about the island's history and geography. The ride was very comfortable and the views were breathtaking. It's definitely worth booking the Jurassic Falls tour, if you can, to see Manawaiopuna Falls up close.

Today I took a flight with Kauai Island Helicopters. Overall, I was very disappointed. So what I dislike. Unfortunately, today's flight was not much different from a flight on a small plane. I have always believed that the main advantage of a helicopter for sightseeing tours is the ability to hover in place and turn around its axis to give passengers on different sides of the helicopter the opportunity to see points of interest as best as possible. Unfortunately, today, our pilot (a girl from Belgium) did not stopped at all at any locations such as waterfalls, Coast line, or other points of interest, simply flew by past them sometimes only reducing the speed only. Completely skipped Wailua falls and did not spent enough time in Waimea canyon, just flew by. Napali coast also was not shown appropriate as well. Other helicopters were flying much lower to show the magnificent mountain ridge and height of the rocks. We flew by without any stops having only a U-turn in the Kalalu walley nor lowering down. Today was a slightly cloudy day with no rain, and as a result, the most famous wall of waterfalls was dry, but at the same time the first cascade of waterfalls in Waimea Canyon was full of water. And it was precisely this that she flew past without any stops, but approached the empty wall of waterfalls without water, we slowed down wasting a flying time. What practical sense there was in this, I absolutely do not understand.
I'm going to fly again after the rain, but next time I'll choose another helicopter Company.

Brodi did a fantastic job of giving us information on the geography, topography, history, and culture of Kauai! He was the cinematography pilot for “Jurassic Park”, among other movies! This is my second time flying with him. I requested to be on his flight, and he came in just to fly me because I requested him. Who does that these days? He’s a top notch pilot and this is a top notch company.

Did this on the last day of our Hawaiian vacation and it was the highlight of our trip! Spectacular views and to get to fly to Jurassic Falls was the best thing we did on our trip. I can’t think of a better way to see the Na’apoli coast than from the air. Jeff was a great pilot! I would highly recommend Island Helicopters and the Jurassic Falls tour for your visit to Kuaui!

Absolutely a must-do in Kauai! There were so many sights I wouldn’t have been able to see otherwise. It also gave me a good idea of where to visit when back on land. The helicopter has long glass windows so that you can see everything easily, and only seats seven so it doesn’t feel crowded. Wear dark colors so your clothes don’t reflect off the glass, or borrow a black t-shirt from the people at the front desk. Highly recommend.

Amazing jaw-dropping experience. The pilot was very informative and you could tell his passion about the Island he grew up in. Loved the music in the background as it made the experience more magical. Locally owned company with very friendly staff

We booked a private tour for 3 adults.
The online booking was easy and all questions were answered quickly and completely. We were picked up from the ship as agreed.
The obligatory weighing took place at the airport and then we only had to wait a short time for the safety briefing and then we were off. The flight was very pleasant with a wonderful view, especially of the Napali coast. Our pilot showed us the entire island. Explanations were given from the tape on our headphones. After landing, photos were taken and then we were brought back to the ship. Perfect organization.
All in all, a great experience. Island Helicopters Kauai can be recommended 100%.

We loved this tour!! Our pilot, Brent, was fantastic. He joked and offered wonderful facts. He was clearly an experienced pilot and passionate about flying and Kauai! The scenery was absolutely stunning. The stop at Jurassic Falls was fantastic as well. I would choose Island Helicopter again for sure!! I will marvel over this trip for a long time to come.

Aloha! We have been providing our 50-55 minute Grand Skies tour for over forty years and it takes you around the whole island (all companies offer a similar route), while our exclusive 75-80 minute Jurassic Falls Landing Adventure is the entire Grand Skies tour PLUS an added 25 minute landing at Jurassic (Manawaiopuna) Falls.

We are scheduled to do the jurassic waterfall landing at the end of July as this is the only helicopter that can land there. I keep reading a lot of negative reviews about them cramming in 4 people in the backseats giving little access to move much less take pictures. It’s very $$$. I would die if we got up there and cannot take photos.
Should we try to request front seats, switch to Jack Harter whom gets 5 stars but can’t land?!?! They have the “doors off” option and peoples photos look beautiful!
What to do???? Help me please! 🤪

All helicopters seat by weight. We sat in the back and the view was still awesome. This was one of the most amazing tours we did in our 2 weeks in Hawaii. Island helicopters is the only company that has the right to land at Jurassic falls which was unbelievable. Worth every penny.

The 50-55 minute air tour is the lowest rate on island when booking with Island Helicopters direct (lowest rate because commissions go to customer rather than a booking company/desk). Please contact us direct for current pricing 808-245-8588. The pricing "Bill B." stated would have been for the 75-80 min exclusive Jurassic Falls Tour for 2 people, which includes the Grand Deluxe tour PLUS a landing at the famous Manawaiopuna Falls. There is a cash discount of 4% on all our tours, but even when paying by card, our prices are the lowest. (apologies for the very late response, just seeing this now but thought it may be helpful to still reply).

Hi - we will be in Kauai in the early January and would love to add a Heli-Tour to our trip. We are, however, traveling with our 2,5 year old and 4 months old daughters. Is the tour possible with kids/infants? Do they count as full passengers, i.e. pay the full price? Thanks a lot in advance!

Your 4 month old is considered a lap child and there would not be a charge for her. Your 5 yr old daughter is occupying a seat and we do not have children's rates due to the limited seating; however, the price for our 50-55 minute deluxe air tour is the best price you will find on Kauai. Hi, what is the last flight time daily please? We land at 12:15 so would like to come that day on the afternoon flight in case of bad weather and cancellation.
