This ride was AMAZING. Our guides were very friendly, professional, and great with our kids. The horses were very sweet and gentle. I would highly recommend a trail ride at Turtle Bay!

It was super fun and cute Alex was very nice and helpful the horses were a lot hungry because we went on the sunset ride so they were a little more difficult to control for some people. But it was amazing and Alex took great pics for us.

Tina was a friendly and engaging guide with lots of interesting information along the trail.
The trail is easy, the horses very relaxed and happy to be out for the wander.

My granddaughter chose this as her activity on our recent trip to the island of Oahu. Phoebe and Madison paired us with horses that matched our horseback riding skills and sizes. Madison was our guide and she was absolutely wonderful. We came across two dogs walking off-leash who barked and startled the horses. Not being horseback riders this made us all a little nervous. Madison jumped off her horse talking to my granddaughter the whole time and holding on to her horse to make sure she knew she was safe. She found a new route for us to take so that we didn't have to go by the dogs. We were still able to take in the beauty of the trails and coastline.

Superb, super friendly, well loved horses. Kylie was my guide and Jet was my steed. Walk trot and plenty of canters through the stunning Turtle bay grounds. Kylie was so knowledgeable and genuinely lovely person. Jet was amazing, I hardly need do anything he knew what to do. I’ve ridden english saddles but found western style easier.
Fully fully recommend an early trip with these guys. Clearly see they love the horses and what they do.

Absolutely amazing ride and tour! The horses are incredibly well cared for and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

Our guide, Raul, was EXCELLENT and the horses were so sweet! It was my very first time riding and Chaka was such a lovely horse. The views are gorgeous and this was worth every penny! You will not regret this!

Luis and Raul are the best trainers and guides we could ask for in the hour long horse riding session,and loved sharing that experience with Lio, the horse. The trail for the session is nothing short of divine with beautiful beaches on one side and forests on the other. Would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting North Shore Oahu.

In just minutes we were safely on horseback and enjoying ourselves. The horses seem happy and healthy and the beachfront ride and photo opportunities were just what I dreamed. Recommended.

We went as a couple and had a fantastic time. The ride was beautiful and our guide pointed out movie sets and other tips about the area. It was an amazing experience.

Are sunset rides available during the month of July 2018?

Yes. We were there in October and the horse riding operator were more than happy to tailor the ride to suit age of children, time of day and length of the ride you wish. If you email turtle bay resort they should be able to let you know the latest time the ride will leave. Be shaw to book..... They do book out

There is a number to call to make reservations. I first tried calling from our room. No one answered so I left a message which was never returned. I wound up making the reservation at the activities desk in the lobby. Unless it's peak season, I don't think you need to worry about reserving before you arrive. I was able to make same day reservations in April and since we were the only couple booked, we got a private ride at regular price!

My children are 7 and 9 and have no horse riding experience. Is the 45 minute trail ride or sunset ride suitable for them?

I think so. My daughters also 7 years old who only has short pony ride experience. But they enjoyed the ride by themselves. Their horse is well trained for kids so do not worry about it. Staffs are also very friendly. Please enjoy the ride with remarkable ocean view.

We took the sunset horsehide. HIGHLY recommended. There were 5 in my family I paid 125 each. Honestly, it was so worth it.
