It was sure not the Oahu Tour company’s fault that it poured rain the day we rented their equipment—obviously, weather is its own thing. However, the clunky, worn out boats filled up with water and the crappy paddles slowed us down when trying to get to a dry place. The boats don’t even have handles anymore, making it nearly impossible to carry them safely. $82 per person is awfully expensive for inadequate equipment, including what struck me as an unsafe strapping system for the car. Also, the river isn’t nearly as long as advertised. More like a 15 minute paddle than an hour.
