How botanically inclined are you? You can walk the garden in an hour; but appreciating it will take at least two to four hours.

IF you like pizza go to Pasquales on the corner of 8th and Irving. This place has been there over 50 years. I firs went there when I was around 12 and I'm 67.

Golden Gate Park does not have the Fall colors that you have in the East. But it is an amazing horticultrula PArk with many gardens, a great Arboretum with amazing plants, and many fine wlaking trials in peace and quiet. Best to go in the day time. At nightitme, soemtimes people sleep in thisvast park. But it is safein daytime.

I pushed my mother around in a wheelchair, and it was fine. But, once we visited the Gardens near closing time and the gate closest to our car was locked right at closing time and we had to walk a very long way to exit and return to our car.

There are some Free Days with no entrance fee. Do not know when they are. Free is for SF residents, only, with a resident address ID. Otherwise, there is a $7 entrance fee, the last time I heard. It may have changed. There is a coming Piano Performance Happening inside the Botanical Garden this month, but cannot tell you the dates.... but many pianists will play. Google it, if interested. :-)
