A famous bard once asked, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways."
That's how I feel about North Beach. I have enjoyed its varied sights and offerings for decades now, and am happy to see the neighborhood busing again after the Covid shutdowns.
Every time I visit, I find something new to live, while sti cherishing old favorites. A place to get lost in, happily so.

We had friends visiting from CT, parked in a lot at the entrance of Chinatown where we toured. Then took them through my weekend shopping walks when I lived in Nob Hill.
So, Little Italy is right near Chinatown where we stopped at my favorite Deli, Molinari's that's been there since 1896.
It's a great neighborhood to stroll around, with many Italian restaurants and Cafe's. Love the tiramisu and cappuccino's that I always had. They loved the walking tour they gave them and highly recommend you see this area of the city!

Walked through North Beach on a recent visit to San Francisco, and found the architecture interesting and welcoming. Close to Little Italy, Chinatown, and Fisherman's Wharf, this will be the next neighborhood we find a hotel to stay in and use as a base of operations. Lots of great restaurants in a 5 block radius. Worth exploring!

This is the traditional Italian neighborhood. Well time has passed and neighborhoods change and the population here is mostly Chinese. Lots of well-preserved attractive buildings, a few gems like Coit Tower. Some old fashioned Italian restaurants. Walkable.

I like North Beach, so returned on a nice January day. I went to the Beat Museum and City Lights Bookstore. I explored the food stores such as Molinari Delicatessan. I enjoyed in general just exploring the area.

As praias de Miami são normais, sem belezas naturais estupendas nem águas cristalinas. Há uma extensa faixa de areia, mar tranquilo, adequado para banhos (mas a água estava beeem gelada), sem quiosques de bebidas ou petiscos. É possível alugar cadeira e guarda-sol. As praias do norte estavam bem vazias (bom para família com crianças e idosos). O que me chamou a atenção foi a limpeza e a estrutura para os banhistas: banheiros grandes, limpos, com chuveiros e bebedouros. Além disso, havia uma área com mesas, cadeiras e churrasqueiras que qualquer pessoa poderia usar. Há estacionamentos pagos, bem grandes em toda a orla.

Der Stadtteil gefiel uns richtig gut. Das italienische Viertel lag etwa 20-30 Minuten fußläufig entfernt von unserem Hotel und lud mit vielen Restaurants z.B. „Stinky Rose“ zu italienischem Essen und auch Flair ein.
Man findet dort auch den ältesten Saloon von San Francisco.
Auch die wunderschöne Kirche Saint Francis besichtigten wir und lernten sogar Father John kennen.

Lovely place to stroll around. Felt very safe in this area even at night, walking by myself. Make sure to stop by Liguria Bakery early in the morning for some delicious focaccia. I took a slice with me before heading to Pier 39. Awesome with clam chowder (if you can handle the blasphemy of not having your soup in a sourdough bowl).
