Amazing Experience. Opted for the longer 40 min tour which includes flying over the city of San Francisco, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito and the Marin Headlands. The van met us at one of the 2 designated pick-up spots in downtown San Francisco and transported us and others across the Bay Bridge to the Oakland International Airport from where the tour started and ended. Even though we were in the back seat, still great views with large windows on each side. This was our first helicopter experience, and I was surprised how smooth the ride was, more like floating than anything. Even though the Golden Gate Bridge had a heavy cloud cover, it was still a beautiful sight. Not an inexpensive experience but it was truly an unforgettable day.

DO NOT BOOK with this company!!!
We booked the Vista Grande Helicopter ride in San Francisco & paid over £1000 for 4 of us.
We had saved up for this trip to San Fran and the helicopter trip over the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz was the ultimate pinnacle of our dream trip.
On the day of pick up from Fisherman’s Wharf, the minibus arrived and we were not on his list of bookings. The driver called into the office and they had simply missed our booking on their system, but they eventually found it on another system. At this time, it was too late as the pilot had gone home for the day, so no more helicopter trips were scheduled for that dat.
We received no apology from the manager whatsoever. She acted as if it was norm and why were we so stressed that we were not getting the helicopter trip we had planned and saved hard for.
Do not book with this company or you will be severely disappointed.

It was awesome! Flying under the bridge was exciting! The 365° video opportunity was fabulous! Lunch was delicious and Sausalito was so cute.

Absolutely worth the trip. A wonderful experience. I enjoyed the flight, lunch, shopping at my leisure, and ferry back to fisherman's wharf. Highly recommend.

The company is top notch!! Great pilot, very informative, absolutely stunning views. The driver of the van was very entertaining! I would recommend them highly!!

What I like the most is that everyone on the helicopter had the opportunity to see everything from every angle. Ex. We saw all the city from every angle.

Here is the rundown:
They do not confirm your seats until 3 days prior but they take payment. Don't you find this bizarre? I don't understand why they cannot confirm at the time of booking.
You are picked up at a designated hotel (not your hotel) and then two additional stops at two other hotels to pickup additional passengers.
Then the shuttle drives you to the airport.
You watch a very outdated video on safety.
Then 6 of you are jammed into a helicopter plus the pilot. If you are bigger you will be uncomfortable and if you are smaller you will be uncomfortable because of the bigger people.
The pilot does a 15-20 minute tour that goes over the bay, golden gate bridge and Alcatraz and then you land in Sausalito where the shuttle meets you to take you back. I could not understand the pilot AT ALL. I had no idea what he was saying during the entire tour.
In total it takes about 2 hours and is $215 per person. Is it worth it? Yes if you book with a different helicopter touring company. This was a bottom budget tour.

This was an Awesome experience and we are so glad that we did this strong suggest that you only take this trip with on 4 people onboard. They said the helicopter seats six but this would have been a very tight and uncomfortable experience. Four people made the trip just perfect, wished it could have been longer. I definitely will do this again. Highly recommend!!

Amazing experience. Justin, our shuttle driver, was perfect in his job. More importantly, Adrian, the pilot was flawless. Going under the Golden Gate was a once in a lifetime experience.

Looking at the weather, fog and sunlight for the view, as well as a smooth ride, is morning or afternoon better? I understand that can change quickly.. just looking on average to see which time to book. Thx.

We were dropped off at the Hilton in central San Fran but collected from near the wharf so I'd imagine if its not far off route they would be fine with it.
