My husband and I are taking our two teenage kids to SF the first week of August. We are wanting to take the kids out on a boat, mainly for whale watching. My daughter and I are also very susceptible to sea sickness. Is this tour something that can cause sickness, do you get wet, and what are the chances of seeing whales?
As previously mentioned by other, we are not a whale watching trip. Rarely do we see a whale within the boundaries of San Francisco. With that said, most people get sea sick when they sit in one spot for a long time and the boat rocks back and forth. I have had very few people get sick on BV over the last 7 years. If you take medication 1 hour before you leave the dock and wear those wrist bands, that may help you just fine. We are also on the move a lot with lots of fresh air. If you do become sick and need to get off the boat, we have several areas that are safe along the waterfront we can drop you off at and call you a cab or other means of transport though it is also a lovely walk along the waterfront. My very best.
