They're not there anymore, the location is empty. I went in 2021 and then again last month, but last month it was gone

We traveled to San Fran,, Napa and Yosemite Park the week of Oct 1-8. The most relaxing and and fun place for me was The Cheese School. We noticed the blackboard outside and decided to check it out. The atmosphere and views were great. The music track was great for background, and the cheese board and wine were excellent. Topped off with the friendly and knowledgeable staff its a must.
If you want great food and wine and a trendy cool vibe its a must on the to visit list.

Friendly and welcoming! I loved how they greeted us and gave us great recommendations based on what we typically drink. We ordered a cider and a sparkling rose which we both enjoyed as we walked around Ghiradelli Square. They were kind enough to even say if we didn't enjoy either that they would find us something else! I would love to come back and try their cheese and charcuterie next time I'm in the area.

Great views, excellent mac and cheese.

The house salad with fresh feta was our favorite. It was so fresh and flavorful!! My daughter kept wanting to go back for more salad. The view was spectacular as well. A little chilly inside so take a jacket!! 😉

We recently visited the Cheese School during our recent trip to San Francisco. Located inside the Ghirardelli Square shopping complex, the shop is not exactly a restaurant but is still a good place to grab something to eat. No waiter service, you order custom cheese and wine orders and platters and the food is delivered to your table.
Also a good place to shop for cheese, wine and other sides.
Some nice views of the bay from inside the seating area.

On a recent visit to San Francisco my nieces, my daughter and I stopped into The Cheese School of San Francisco for some wine and cheese tasting.
Right in Ghiradelli Square, the store front draws you in.
We ordered a combo board of cheese and specialty meat. I realize I was in a large tourist city, but I would have liked a few more slices of both cheese and meat for the money.
We enjoyed the Cultivar Savignon Blanc for our wine choice.
Relaxing venue, friendly staff all added a plus to our evening.

A nice compliment to Ghiradelli Square offering a wide selection of wines, cheese and other fine foods. My family and I visited the store around 2pm so it was a little slow and pretty empty but still plenty of visitors touring the shop. We ordered a charcuterie plate with a bottle of complimenting vino.
Service at the counter where orders were placed was just okay. The staff wasn't very friendly and seemed uninterested in anything outside of taking orders. The staff that brought our food to our seats were very friendly.
The food was wonderful as was the wine. We had an awesome view of the square and could easily loose track of time with the tasty foods, complimenting wine and spectacular view of the bustling square below.

Adoro i formaggi e durante una meravigliosa passeggiata in Ghirardelli Square è stata per me una sorpresa trovare questo locale ... probabilmente è più improntato .. come conferma il suo nome ... in una scuola ... sulla quale non posso esprimermi non avendo partecipato alle sue classi però in quanto al lato ..ristorazione.. l’ ho trovava normale .. abbiamo scelto una fondue .. e Chardonnay... buona la qualità del formaggio pero no la quantità.... scarsa quella del vino .. servizio appena sufficiente e prezzi non proporzionati rispetto a quanto appena commentato !

Não é bem um restaurante e também nao é um fast food. Você escolhe entre as diversas opções do cardápio, paga e aguarda. A comida é de excelente qualidade. Pelas opcoes deveria ter um serviço mais diferenciado. Mas com certeza vale a visita
