Thanks to Jeremy and the weekend team for making us feel so welcome.
Really a local’s bar with a fabulous piano karaoke on a Sunday night. The bar is very welcoming and reasonably priced.
Next time I’m back in San Francisco, I know exactly where I’ll be heading. Thanks to all.

What a fabulous night we had, definitely one to remember. We started talking to 2 men in the street and ended up going to the Cinch. Everyone was so friendly and diverse. It's such a wonderful place to go and although we were strangers so many locals welcomed us. The bar staff were great as were the drinks. Lots of interesting pictures and art on the walls, even the toilet was interesting as it was decorated with articles about something that I can't remember due to alcohol but I know I was fascinated at the time. The place is really clean with a great atmosphere. I could not fault the place. We would definitely go back

Nice and relaxed gay bar. Much older crowd during the day. Has pool tables and electronic dart board. Friendly staff who made excellent drinks. Lost a star due to my sunglasses getting stolen . Def worth checking out

We stayed nearby and called in here a couple of times when we didn't want to go all the way to the Castro. Its a great local bar, friendly and unpretentious. The barman was really nice. We really liked this place.

The Sinch Saloon stands out like a sore thumb on Polk Street, the bar front is in the style of an old western saloon, and being painted pink with a large rainbow flag hanging out over the path, it’s hard not to notice it.
Inside is quite dark, and could appear a little off putting at first, but don’t let it put you off, we as a straight couple were made to feel very welcome by the guy behind the bar, and the few locals that were in on a Tuesday night very friendly and in good spirits.
The drink prices were reasonable for SF, with a fair selection of local and imported beers/lagers from around the world on tap.
I would say, if you’re a conservative type this might not be the place for you, but if you are open minded (if not gay of course) it’s a fun little place to have a drink!

My fiance and I went here on a whim. You can tell it's a very local bar. Drinks were decent, nothing special. They deff gave us the cheap vodka bc we had headaches in the morning. Our bartender was nice but he admitted to us he made the first drink wrong and gave us the 2nd on the house.
If your looking for a gay townie bar come here but it's average in my opinion.

Once I noticed the naked pictures of men on the wall I realised that Cinch was a gay bar, not that it mattered. Eddie the bartender was the friendliest guy we have met in California so far, so much so me and my girlfriend stayed at the bar for hours after we originally planned on the last day.
Great service, great guy, good choice of alcohol and a great atmosphere, in my girlfriends words...... "I'm gona miss this place". Thanks Eddie.

We looked on googled for gay bars and this one kept coming up so we thought we would give it a go yesterday (Friday night)
What a great little place it was. Very relaxed and nothing seedy about it at all just a nice friendly relaxed gay bar - really nice friendly bar staff and cheap drinks.
Will go again when we next visit San Fran

First of all, I am not gay and admittedly had a few reservations about visiting the Cinch. But after reading the history and realizing it was near our hotel, we ventured inside -- and were pleasantly surprised. Beer was cold and cheap, bartender and patrons were friendly, and it just had a really great "vibe" . You could tell most of the people there were regulars, but we felt very welcome. Don't miss visiting this piece of San Francisco history!

A bit dark when we walked in, struggled to see the notes in my wallet. The writing of 'We love cum' on the board behind the bar and photos on walls were are little explicit for my liking. Have gay friends but found this a little distasteful. Does it have to be like this because it's a gay bar?
