By far & honestly the best 3D screen I have been to. Totally worth the money being paid for. Gigantic Screen, comfortable seats, awesome 3D glasses that are bulkier than the usual plastic ones, fantastic audio & seat vibration effects made this an unforgettable & unmatchable experience. No Free Parking or Validated parking available & you may have to make use of nearby garages or street parking. Definitely recommend visiting this for Action VFX Flicks.

This theater is not adhering to covid-19 safety standards. I saw two employees not wearing masks. When I went in to take a seat for my movie, it was garbage on the seats. They had not cleaned from the previous movie.

AMC is my theater chain of choice, so I had to check out the premiere AMC in San Fransisco when visiting! In typical “big city” theater fashion, it can be a tad bit confusing to figure out how to get up to the theater at night when the mall is closed. Our only disappointment with this AMC is unfortunately the staff - the showtimes on the app didn’t jive with the showtimes displayed and no one could answer our question on when the movie actually started. The concession stand was just as much of a mess with no one paying attention to the A-List line and more people hanging out behind the counter than working. That all being said, once we actually got into the theater the experience was great. Perfect IMAX picture and sound on one of the largest IMAX screens in the country. A clean theater, hallway and restrooms also. Overall a good experience!

I went to see the Gentleman at AMC Metreon 16.
I purchased my tickets at the automatic ticket machine on first floor They have some that are credit card and some accept both credit card and cash.
After purchasing my ticket, I went to the theater floor and the theater.
The seats are comfortable recliners.
The projection and sound system is good.
I enjoyed going to the movies at AMC Metreon 16.

Sound- very loud, unable to tell where the sound effects were coming from
Seating - comfortable, lighting to seats could be improved. Had to use my cellphone to find my seat number.
Theater - very dusty
IMAX format - if you are going to charge over 20$ a person for this format, the movie should have more than 3 minutes in That format. In our case it was 0 minutes in IMAX format.
Ticketing - bought tickets there on the terminal. Experience was quick and easy.

it looks like a movie theater from the 70s. Just look at the carpet in the photos to get a better sense for the place. Its movie theaters like this that give the industry a bad name. They need to spend some money on modernizing it and making the overall movie experience better.

The movie theater is located close to Powell Street Station on 4th and it was easy to purchase tickets at the self-service counters and then get popcorn and drinks or other snacks upstairs. They offer IMAX and Dolby and 3D of course. We watched “Knives Out” in Standard and “Frozen II” in IMAX - and yes, IMAX is an experience. Interestingly it was cheaper than the movie in Dolby. Both movies were great, but so was the seating with reclinable leather seats. If you choose to see a movie, this is a place that offers comfort!

There were three people total (me and two others) who saw Jexi at the 2:00 showing of Jexi at the Metreon. The movie Jexie was filmed in San Francisco. It is a very funny movie and we were laughing out loud so many times.....so even with only three of there we had a very fun time at the AMC Metreon 16.
For purchasing tickets, its via machine now. I was paying cash and they do have those machines. There is also more machines to pay for one's movie tickets by credit card.
