Muni n'a pas sa propre appli pour les itinéraires et se repose sur Google Mqp qui propose des trains Bart qui ne sont pas inclus dans les ticket Muni ! C'est donc difficile de trouver son trajet. Après la signalétique n'est pas clair sur les quais (direction à prendre, direction du métro).
Les premières fois tu attends sur le quai et le métro arrive arrive avec 2 voitures seulement à l'autre bout du quai ! Tu cours pour l'avoir.
Et franchement à l'intérieur de SF on devrait pouvoir prendre aussi bien le Muni que le Bart pour circuler avec le même ticket (comme à Paris avec le métro et le RER).
Donc il reste beaucoup de progrès a faire pour améliorer l'expérience utilisateur.

A little as USD 5 per day for multiple rides on 3 modes of transportation (Bus, Tram, Metro Train) except Cable Cars to move around the city.
The buses are punctual with friendly and helpful drivers while the tram or street cars has 2 lines - F-Market & Wharves Streetcar Line covering places of interest of both historic and modern as follows:
The Castro District
Upper Market & Civic Center
Union Square & Convention Area
Financial District
Ferry Building & The Embarcadero
Pier 39 & Fisherman’s Wharfs
A great way to explore the places mentioned above as we can also hop-on and off as much as we like in a day.
The buses are punctual with friendly and helpful drivers while the tram or street cars has 2 lines - F-Market & Wharves Streetcar Line covering places of interest of both historic and modern as follows:

I highly recommend you download the app and buy the 3 day pass. Good for the cable cars, streetcars and buses.
It gives you the routes and you can even type in where you wan to go and it will tell when the bus is coming.

We downloaded the muni app on our iPhones and purchased a 7 day pass. It was a great decision. We used the Street Cars, Cable Cars, Buses and Underground Train to get everywhere we needed to go in the city. The Powell-Mason ride was our favorite!!

We purchased the 3-Day MUNI pass on our recent visit to SF. And it was well worth it. The pass gave us access to the bus, trolley and cable cars (that's all we used). Our Airbnb was on the outskirts of the city and we were able to take the bus to get to the pier, ferry building, union square, etc. Keep in mind, this is the bus, so plan accordingly as it may take longer to get where you are going due to multiple stops. The experience alone was worth the ticket as we got to chat with locals who were mostly friendly. This did not get a 5 star rating because some of the bus drivers were not that helpful (while others were great). The cable car alone is $7.00 a ride but is included in the pass. We road the cable car just for fun several times as is it a true SF icon. The cable car drivers are fabulous with great fun personalities.

I am an avid walker and had planned to walk as much as I could. But after the first day, I learned that the hills in SF are killer. Thankfully I had a three day pass through my SF City Pass purchase and for the subsequent days, I used the Muni App to get a one day pass for just five dollars. You only have to make two trips to have gotten your money worth. The drives on the buses, the metro and the street cars were all super friendly and helped me make sure I got off at the right stop. Wonderful system that goes most places in the city.

Hi, I have purchased the MUNI app for a 3 day passport do I need to have internet access when boarding the buses? I have the tickets stored on my iPhone but don't want to open them yet as my trip is in September and I don't want to start the 3 day pass accidentally.
Any advice on this would be appreciated.
