What a great format for wine tasting. Sit at your your private table, perhaps on the deck overlooking the orchards and Lake Superior.. select your flight of wones to taste, and have the friendly server bring them all at once to your table. Good wines top off the visit! A must for any visit to the Apostle Island Gateway.

Oh my god, the wines have always been good but now they have added some amazing Charcuterie plates!! My favorites were the duck and the whitefish but I have to admit, I tried (and loved) them all. My husband isnt a wine drinker so he was happy to see that they have added beers from South Shore Brewery. The Nut Brown is fantastic and local! They now serve wine in flights and by the glass which definitely makes it easier to choose. Well worth the stop!

Stopped by winery in early June 2018. Hostess/waitress was super friendly and helpful, views from outside seating were very pretty. We ordered a cheese platter which was very good, and we came across a couple wines that we really liked and ended up buying bottles of. Definitely worth the trip.

I have been to over 100 wineries around the world. This is not the best winery I ever went to and what made it 5 stars was the great service we received from Emma. The grounds were pleasant. All the wines we tried were tasty. The prices for the tasting was reasonable. The appetizers we're also reasonably priced and they had several interesting choices. This is a great place to spend an hour or two when you're in Bayfield

This is a nice place, I wanted to rate it higher, but the wines weren't great and they were on the expensive side for a Wisconsin wine. It's an interesting setting in an old farm house. There was a young couple there serving the tasting, they were pleasant and helpful, the young lady answered our questions and explained that the owners are considering expanding and moving the tasting room to a new location. In a way, that would be a shame, they have a delightful little deck off the back with a view of grapevines and pasture, I could easily sit there all day and sip wine. When we visited, they're now calling the place Seven Ponds Winery, and the gal showed us an aerial map of the farm showing the ponds and fields, it should be a perfect place to grow cold-hardy grapes, and I suspect that in a few years the wines will develop a little more character and refinement and could get to be outstanding.

It's called Seven Ponds Winery now that Caitlin sold her shares to her brother Ian.
Although I thought $20 for a bottle of one of their wines was a little expensive, it was also delicious! I went with 2 other girls. We each did the wine sampling. It was $5 for 6 wine samples that you got to pick and you get to keep the glass.
They also have an adorable little shop in the front with various wine themed gifts and items you can purchase.
The staff member was friendly and knowledgeable. Us three ended up purchasing an entire case of wines (10% off) and they were happy to split the cost accordingly on different cards for us.
I would go back again and I look forward to sipping all the wines I purchased.
The only thing is that I wish they had something to cleanse your palate and a little larger of a sampling bar that could serve more guests but, nonetheless, happy with the time we spent there.
(The photo has their reds in red print, their whites in blue print, and the wines they offer from Bayfield Winery in purple print. All of these were available to sample)

My husband and I did the wine tasting. $5.00 you pick 6! Since we each have different tastes, my husband who rarely buy a bottle for himself, unless he loves the wine..Bought his favorite red. There are many to choose from., fruit wines to grape.

Excellent setting with OK wines. The tasting is $5 for 6 wines and you can keep the glass. We don't need more glasses so we said he could keep them. To our surprise the tasting was a bit cheaper (and even better value). We like that all of the wines are made with Wisconsin grapes or fruits.

It was a rainy day and we were looking for stuff to do, and another couple recommended this place for the great wine tasting deal! Bit off the beaten path, but cute spot with good wine. Staff was knowledgeable and happy to answer questions and guide us to the wine we liked best. Cute gifts for wine lovers, too! Vineyards and I think they do tours as well, forgot to ask. We felt the bottles were reasonably priced ($15-25). Oh and free wifi! Right next to an apple orchard as well, wish we could have stopped there but they were closed as it was Sunday afternoon. Definitely would recommend!

We had a blast, manager was a blast and very very helpful with planning our weekend from there. The wine was alright, not my style but still decent.
