Last week daytripping to Berlin from Chincoteague Island, VA, we so so enjoyed this shop packed full (to overflowing) with unique items from all around the world. We spent a good long time -- and there was still lots more to discover in the next corner! Lovely interactions with the fascinating couple who run this shop. Highly recommend!

I LOVE to travel. And I LOVE to visit other entrepreneurs who LOVE what they do. This New Year adventure led me to the sea again with my love and our pups (the kittens were well cared for by @activedogs315 and have no idea what we were up to, shhh don’t tell). Forever looking for the perfect cup of coffee we fell upon this beautiful shop and it’s caretakers in Berlin, Maryland. Leslie and Wes have curated a life and work to be admired. Their love for each other and willingness to share warmed our hearts. I hope those that visit my business feel an ounce of the light they shared with us!

Berlin, Maryland, has something of a reputation as a center for antiques. Well, this reviewer shopped extensively in Berlin, and while the town has a couple of large “antique marts,” the town’s best store, hands down, is the Coconut Bay Trading Company.
It’s a small store, not located on Berlin’s “main drag,” but instead tucked away on Williams Street. The store is operated by a nice couple who’ve traveled the world and brought back interesting things from their journeys. Unlike other merchants I talked to in Berlin, the owners are kind and don’t mind taking the time to answer questions about their items. For quality of merchandise, pleasantness of service, and reasonableness of price, the Coconut Bay Trading Company is a winner. Don’t miss it!

Completely enjoyed this charming shop and the couple who own it. One of a kind treasures from around the world and the history behind them. Will definitely make to 4 hour trip to visit this shop again!

What a hidden gem! What a great experience we had! We didn't want to leave and wanted to buy EVERYTHING. This owner-run business, is a treasure chest of amazing items; jewelry, ornate pieces, Buddha's, Asian, Middle Eastern, European pieces. What makes this an "experience", rather than a "shopping excursion" is the intimate level of knowledge the owners have about their pieces, the history of each, etc. etc. They patiently and passionately attend to their patrons. We enjoyed chatting with this couple and truly enjoyed purchasing several, beautiful pieces from them. They are looking to sell their pieces, as they have combined a few stores into this one, so they are open to discounting some pieces. Our plan is to revisit them several times this year, even though Berlin, MD is 2.5 hours away from us. You will not be disappointed.
