The High Roller tour was a perfect way to see different parts of Asheville and enjoy numerous great tastings/drink pairings. Joe was a knowledgeable and very personable guide who went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the party had a great time!

We had one day in Asheville and we decided to spend it doing a food tour, and we made a great decision. Sita was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable about not the Asheville food screen, but also about the cities history and the architecture. Sita took us on a close to 3 hour tour and the food was incredible. Thanks again Sita!!

Wonderful variety of food from locally owned restaurants. Sita the guide was delightful with an entertaining delivery of extensive knowledge about the food and restaurants, as well as the history and architecture of Asheville.

Lindsay, absolutely made our tour just the best experience. We loved the walking tour peppered with the interesting history lessons. And, yeah... the food "samples" were outstanding! I say "samples" 'cause each stop could've been a meal. The past few years have taken a toll on my relationship with downtown Asheville... but I've fallen in love all over again. Thanks, Lindsay!

As a local, some restaurants aren’t the menu when going out. It was nice to be a tourists in my own city, enjoy DELICIOUS food and be catered too by the charming and witty Lindsay! Lindsay was educating me about my city and made everyone feel like old friends right from the start! 100% would do it again!

My wife and I did a High Rollers food tour last week and it was fantastic. Sita had some really good tidbits on the history of Asheville when we were walking between our food stops. We started with a couple tastings of wine and some cheese and crackers at the Aventine. The wine was different, but delicious. My wife and I ended up going to their sister store later in the week. Our second stop was Isas and had a delicious croquette with a small lemonade lavender mimosa. Third stop was The Rue where we had half of a sausage pimento biscuit and sweet tea which was good, I just wish I had a whole biscuit! The fourth stop was Mefhil, an Indian restaurant. We had a small buffet which everything tasted great and our group was completely stuffed after this, we could not eat it all. We also had a small cocktail that was good as well. The fifth stop, was White Duck Taco, I was a fan of a shrimp taco with curry and pickles however my wife was not, it was a bit different. We had a small sangria there as well. The last stop was a chocolate shop where we finished with a truffle and a small gelato. Overall it was a lot of fun and Sita was great. I would recommend taking this tour at the beginning of the week that way you can go back to some of the places if you enjoyed them.

Had a really great time! I love food tours and have been on many. This one was exceptional. Very well organized, great food and we all left full! Our guide was super knowledgeable about Asheville and food in general. There was one couple that was on their third tour because they liked I so much!

What is the difference between your classic tour and the Asheville food tour?

I think you are comparing two companies. Both have tours where you walk around to different restaurants for a small taste of the food and or drink they offer. Asheville food tour has six different offerings. Eating Asheville which is what this review was from has the Classic which visits 6 restaurants, the High Roller which visits 7 restaurants, and the Cold One which has food but concentrates on beer. We went with a friend on the High Roller and loved it. He had been on the Asheville food tour and liked the Eating Asheville High Roller better.

Can this tour accommodate someone who is gluten-free and several people who don't drink alcohol?

Also not sure about the gluten free. But regarding alcohol, not only was it fine for the one person on our tour that didn’t drink, but it was fun as many of our restaurants went out of their way to make interesting non-alcoholic drinks for her.

How much walking does this tour include? I will be 36 weeks pregnant if we decide to do this and want to make sure it’s not anything excessive for me. Also, are the alcoholic drinks included in the tour? And for me, being pregnant -I will obviously forego the alcohol and opt for something else, but will it be like a mocktail or something other than the ordinary soda and water?

There is a lot of walking, amd it is hilly, so the walkimg may be a problem. Alcohol is included in most stops, but alternates are easily handled.

I agree that it isn’t suitable for young children, not only the walking but the types of food (other than the chocolate) would be something they would like.
We had teenagers on our tour and they had a blast (without the alcohol of course).

we UBER'd to the Library meeting place. The tour ended a short walk from there but we walked back to Zambra for drinks. Easy parking everywhere or grab a garage.
