There are only four rooms on display, so it doesn’t take long to visit, but the entry price is cheap and there are guides on each floor to ask questions to

Paul Revere's House, Boston Massachusetts.
We saw Paul Revere's house. I couldn't resist the temptation and yelled "The British Are Coming!" I also learned that it's unlikely that he actually yelled that phrase because his mission to warn was discreet. Also, at that time, the Colonial Americans considered themselves British. So, Revere, wouldn't have yelled that if he considered himself British too. At that time, people called the British, "The Regulars".
We werent allowed to take photos on the inside of the house.

This is one of the Must See Freedom Trail sites when you come to Boston. Now I have seen some reviews that question the worthiness of what they usually say is such a small home (4 rooms) and museum. What I say to anyone looking to visit Boston, it is not the size of the site but the value of it to our American culture. That is why you visit and that is why you must see it.
In the intangible Pantheon of American Revolutionary Culture, Paul Revere may not be a Washington or a Franklin, but he is way up there. Obviously, there is the fateful ride to Lexington on the eve of the Revolution that most people know. However, what most people have no concept is that Revere was a celebrate patriot before that ride. He was an important member of the Sons of Liberty and in his own age, was much more famous for his silversmith and lithography, especially the scene that all of us know of the Boston Tea Party. It was through Revere's art that most colonials learned of the massacre and the real tear that would lead to a break with Great Britain.
For all those reasons, he is an incredibly important figure for all Americans. The home is of great value not only because he lived here. The value is it is one of the few examples we have of colonial town living from the Eighteenth Century. The home was decades old by the time Revere moved in. In fact when you visit the downstairs is designed to show you what the home would have looked like for any colonial in that time period. Upstairs, you get to see two bedrooms design as they were when the Reveres lived in the home. Behind the home, there is a nice courtyard for you to gather and behind that is a small museum with a restroom, which can be very valuable when you are walking the trail.
Anyways, yes, it is small. However, it is the importance that is a large as anything in the North End. It is something you have to visit and it is a great backdrop for pictures.

Perhaps this is best for (1) big fans of Paul Revere, (2) if you have time to spare, or (3) if this is the only Revolutionary War period home you will ever visit in your life. Yes, it's neat that it was 'preserved' despite multiple owners. And there are a couple of original items. But really, it's a tourist trap. It's small and only gives you a similarly small idea of what life during his day was like. So, so many other options in other cities where you can learn and see so much more. If you've been to any of those, you can comfortably skip visiting here.

So few sites show the homes of ordinary people and so few of those remain in urban settings. The tickets are inexpensive and it doesn't take a lot of time. Hopefully other visitors to Boston will take the chance to visit.

My daughter (19) and I went on a Monday morning in Oct. Actually, it was Columbus Day. We did not wait in a line at all. I probably wouldnt not have gone in, but my daughter is a history buff and really wanted to. It does not take long to go thru, it is not very big. But she enjoyed it. They have bathrooms too, which were not always the easiest to find on our trip! and, we can say we have been there! We loved the North End!

While in Boston, we took a tour down the Freedom Trail, which led us by the Paul Revere house. We did not purchase the tour of the house but it was a great photo op.

To be honest this appears to be more of a replica rather than a genuine historical artifact. Recreated to capture the tourist dollar. The story is interesting though.

Please do a little research ahead of time. The reason I say this is some of the other reviews are do to not doing their due diligence. For example they have a website, it clearly states that to use a credit card you have to spend $10 it should not be a surprise. It’s not a big house just a big piece of American History. Very nice at house and back in its day aim sure it stood out. Very glad we went and the guides were amazing while we were there. Now if you are staying at the Revere hotel you can get free passes at the front desk.

1. Outdoor flower beds are pathetic. Overrun with weeds. No one cares for the outdoor courtyard.
2. Solo travelers beware. Ticket price was $6 and you cant use your cc because minimum purchase is $10!!!! You either leave and find an ATM or pay $10. You feel scammed.
3. Tour guides do not engage or tell about him.
Overall would not recommend this place.

We spent about 30 minutes or so in the place. best to go at off peak times so you can easily see the exhibits and read without being hassled by others moving through as the rooms are not big. Suggest first thing in the morning is good.

nononsense is correct.
Most visitors come to us by walking the Freedom Trail, but we are only a short walk from 3 different subway stops: Haymarket, Government Center or Aquarium (serving the Green, Blue and Orange lines).
If you do decide to drive, try one of the parking lots at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Fleet Street for the shortest walk AND the best rates. Walk up Fleet Street and turn left on Moon Street to reach the museum.

Just starting to look at pet friendly hotels. Are the rooms that just as clean and without the pet odors from the last guest? And is there an area to walk and exercise the dogs?

Paul Rever House is not a hotel, it is a very small cool museum.
