Interesting historical place
2021年11月
I visited the Old State House in November 2021 as part of doing the Freedom Trail. I bought the combination ticket for $14 which covers the Old South Meeting House and the Old State House. Given my interest in American history, I think it was worth it. If you are not that interested in history then it may not be worth it. The first room is a meeting room with a large conference table. Many important meetings took place in this room. The windows in the room look out at Faneuil Hall and the site of the Boston massacre. After the meeting room, there were two exhibits. One dealt with the history of the Boston massacre and the second dealt with the life of Crispin Attucks, an African-American and one of the victims of the Boston massacre. I think the visit was worthwhile.

Great for history buffs
2021年9月
You can purchase one ticket for both the Old State House and the Old South Meeting House. Both places are worth visiting for those interested in history. The outside is beautiful and worth a few pics. Inside, the Old State House contains three small rooms. One room contains a conference room table with some portraits and displays. The other rooms contain displays with historical information and artifacts, such as John Hancock’s jacket. Unless you are a strong history buff, you could probably finish looking at this place in 15 minutes or so.

Very Enjoyable!
2021年8月
This was very enjoyable. We got to talk to the docent for a while. Very knowledgeable, although I was able to teach him one tidbit of information that I'd learned in Jamestown of which he wasn't aware. I learned a lot about the Boston Massacre of which I didn't know much.

We got to sit at the meeting table to have photos pretending to write with the quill pens. I love to get into the deep history of things... the odd things that they don't teach in school. I was able to do that here.

Low tech but informative
2021年8月
Although this small museum lacks the multimedia of other sites, it still has a wealth of information and one is at the site of the Boston Massacre. A must for history fans, for others, a photo op outside, but I think it is worth the visit.

Loved the old state house. Interesting architecture, cool exhibits and nicely tied together. Very informative. Guides on every floor provided helpful explanations. Worth the visit.

Not worth the money
2021年7月 • 家庭
Not much to see. We paid $58 for four of us to go through this ‘museum’. It literally took about 10-15 min. There was only one exhibit. The rest is nothing more than blown up pictures with a sign explaining what you’re looking at. The building itself is historic and nicely restored, but most of it is blocked off from the public.

Another closure

Again closed except on weekends. We were able to walk the grounds but not enter. It was a disappointment

Expected A Bit More For The Admission Price
2021年6月
Admission was a bit price, although it did include two locations, but more was needed at both locations to make it worth while. One was a walking hall self-guided tour with some exhibits to read, the other was two floors of a self-guided tour with exhibits.

Lovely displays, beautiful building
2021年6月
We enjoyed the lovely displays about Boston history- especially learning about Boston Massacre victim Crispus Attucks. The building is beautiful too. A stop here is a good reprieve from the heat.
