This is Boston's version of Central Park and indeed it was designed by Olmstead. It's an enormous area, so it is full of all sorts of recreations and is in the center of many residential areas.

Another big city park designed by Olmstead. He did know what he was doing. This is a huge sprawling green space in the center of the city. Lots to see and do here, a huge city park.

The park is composed of 527 acres and consists of 6 miles of roads and 15 miles of horse/pedestrian paths. It is the biggest park in Boston and it has a zoo and an 18-hole golf course. Franklin Park was the last park added to the Emerald Necklace chain of parks and is named in honor of Boston-born Benjamin Franklin.
The park is a landmark in Boston. It backs up to Forest Hills Cemetery. If you decide to visit, there are several parking lots (3 on each side of the zoo). Consider parking there and then hooking into the Walking Loop next to Circuit Drive.

ボストンの街中から少し距離はありますが、そこまで遠くもないです。大きな公園で、緑や自然がいっぱいですが、割と見どころも多いと思います。天気のいい日などはリフレッシュできます。

White Stadium located on the park grounds is an excellent old stadium that also serves as the sight of the BAA Half Marathon Finish line. Running on can feel the history of such great events from previous years.
Nice park to bring the family to during the summer months.
The BAA Half isn't the only race that calls this place home as there are others throughout the year.

Franklin Park is a large park south of Roxbury in Boston. It offers a great space to get away from the city and have a cookout in the summer. The grass is a little overgrown in spots, but there are good facilities for kids and for outdoor sports at the park. It is also directly adjoining the zoo, which is definitely worth a visit in the summer time. The park is easily accessible from the 44 bus line and also accessible from the Orange Line at Green Street (not Forest Hills, due to construction).

Major city view with wonderful outdoor setting and extensive floral and animal collection. Easy to get to by public transportation or car and good free parking if you are driving. Near bye area is a public golf course and not far away is the famous Arnold Arboretum.
Close by neighborhood of Jamaica Plain has a main street(Center Street) which has lots of great restaurants at all price levels, bakeries to die for and a slew of interesting shops.

This is a very beautiful place to relax any time. It is a very place that can accommodate any group of people. I had a nice watching the whole place go white as the snow fell on the ground turning everywhere white. It is really realy nice. The zoo is just some distance away
