Our tour with Michele today was such a lovely way to experience Boston's gem, the North End. Michele is a charming guide and an expert not only on the area and it's history, but on the wonderfully authentic foods and products available here. We had an enjoyable time visiting the shops, meeting proprietors and sampling some of their olive oils, cheeses, breads, meats, etc. available here. Michele is very knowledgeable about Italian foods, spices, wines, etc. and the benefits of eating the Mediterranean way. I learned so much ! As a North End resident herself, she speaks affectionately about the special lifestyle found here and what makes this Boston neighborhood unique. I would highly recommend seeing the North End with Michele; you'll have a very enjoyable time! We certainly did!

Excellent visit to the North End. Michele was incredibly knowledgeable in so many areas, from the history of the area to the evolving nature of the Italian diet and culture.

What a great way to spend 3 hours, exploring the North End with an expert! There was a perfect balance between learning and tasting. Love hearing about the locals. I now know how to buy a good olive oil and a good digestivi (after dinner drink). Thanks Michele for the handout recommendations so I didn't need to take notes. Shopping was easy after the tour with the organized map that marks the shop locations. This might need to be an annual tradition. Brava!

Wonderful two hours guided by Michele through some fantastic shoppes in the North End. MIchele is very knowledgeable in food selection; history of the district; and where to buy the healthiest Italian foods. There were many samples; many different flavors; and many choices to help make a day in the North End rewarding.

Michele is wonderfully knowledgeable about the history of Italian cooking and the differences between various regions. You learn about the difference between true Italian meals and Italian-American adaptations - not to mention where to find authentic ingredients! Overall, it was very enjoyable. There were light tastings and it will prepare your stomach for a nice dinner in the North End!

Had a wonderful time with friends on Michele's North End food tour. Michele is extremely knowledgeable about Italian history and food. She introduced us to many off the beaten path markets where we got to sample some amazing Italian delicacies. We had a great time and learned so much. We ended the tour with dinner at a fantastic North End restaurant. I highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed our walking tour of the North End with Michele. The tour provides history of the area and a ton of information about healthy eating and healing with food. Michele’s previous training as a chef in Italy and her nursing background make her a wealth of information about the importance of fresh food and the relationship of food and health. Michele has been a resident of the North End for many years and knows the best places to shop/eat. Samples are given but this is not a sit down meal type of food tour. We learned a lot from Michele and were eager to purchase some of the products she taught us about. We would have liked a few minutes in each shop to make a purchase or two. Hope you have a great time. We did!

We had a wonderful time with Michele. Her knowledge of the history and people of the North End was great. She teaching you what to look for when buying Italian food products. She introduced me to some new Gluten Free options. This tour is great for locals and visitors.
You get to sample a few treats at the bakery and deli. But this tour is more than food, it is educational as well.

We had a great time on the tour! She is very knowledgeable of the food and area. We had a fantastic time with her while we ate our way through the North End! Highly recommend!

Thanks for asking about our GF Tours. Yes, although infrequent, we do offer a gluten-free tour. Our next GF Tours will be on Sept 30, Oct 21 and Nov 11 from 11am-2pm.
