We have done this tour twice and are going again in October with friends that have not been before. Mark is very knowledgeable of Boston and American history so along with a visual tour of Boston you get a history lesson as well. I highly recommend this tour!

I got a call this past August from my cousin in L.A. He was coming, he said, in October with his new girlfriend to do a Fall foliage tour for her birthday, and wanted to visit us in Maine then go on to see Boston before proceeding through the countryside. He asked if I could help with places to go and things to see and do.
We agreed that I would accompany them as far South as Boston and show them around. But Boston has changed a lot in the 23 years since I lived there so it was obvious I would need help if that part of their trip was to be a success. I went online to see what kind of tours were available. All looked pre-packaged, impersonal and ordinary until I found Antique Limousine offering tours of Boston in a 1939 Cadillac Eight Passenger Imperial Limousine with a driver in character as a 30’s mobster chauffeur. I called as fast as I could and made a reservation for three.
On the morning of the tour, after telling my guests that the tour bus would pick us up in front of the hotel, I had a conversation with Mark who was to be our chauffeur/guide. We re-confirmed the reservation and he asked what my cousin did for a living. I told him that he manufactures plastic chair parts and that some of the production is done in China. “Good”, Mark said “that will give me some material to work with.”
I saw the limo first as Mark drove past the entrance to the hotel and parked down the street to remove the magnetic signs from its doors. Then he pulled in and my cousin, being a car guy, went over to get a closer look just as Mark got out wearing a fedora and black leather coat. He said, "Hey!, how ya doin" in marvelous Italian dialect, and they talked back and forth about the car and about people and this and that until he could work in what came next so that it didn't seem out of place. "You know I like most people, but anybody who has anything to do wit making plastic chairs really upsets me. My parents were in da chair business when I was a kid and went broke trying to compete wit companies makin cheap plastic ones, and I especially can't stand anybody who makes da parts in China. When I meet someone like dat dey end up in da trunk." My cousin took it in hook, line, and sinker and replied "Oh geeez you really won't like me then.” At that point I stepped in, put my arm around my cousin and told him "This is our tour bus and this is Mark our driver", then went over and got his girlfriend who was standing off to the side not knowing what to think. They got in the back, I got in the front with the Godfather and off we went on the most unique tour of the city I could possibly imagine. It turned out that, in addition to having a limo business, Mark is a musician, standup comedian and true raconteur. His stories about Boston were liberally spiced with anecdotes about growing up Italian, material he was working on for his act and historical facts. I had lived in Boston throughout the 70’s and 80’s but had never seen some of the places he took us and, in fact, never knew they existed. It was what I imagined it would be like if you had “connected” friends or relatives in Boston who showed you around when you came to town.
I highly recommend being taken for a ride by Mark at Antique Limousine, he’ll take you on a tour like no other. Just don’t upset him or you’ll be riding in “da trunk”.

We were in Boston prior to joining a cruise ship. We booked the longer tour with Mark ,he picked us up from our hotel. He is very informative and also funny. We went to Harvard ,Fenway Park and did the Freedom Trail. It was a great experience in the wonderful old limo and such a comfortable way to see Boston . Would really recommend booking this tour.

In my opinion this is not just a great way to see the sights of Boston, but the only way. The driver picked us up at our airport hotel right on time and returned us to the same spot after a very extensive and informative tour of the city. And then there is the car: a 1940 black Cadillac with enough wood trim inside to keep a beaver busy for years. The seats are comfortable and there is enough room in the back seat to hold a dance. You feel like the Godfather as you are being chauffeured around Boston.
Pros:
- Prompt service.
- Excellent driving to avoid traffic. Since we were not on a specific schedule or program the driver was able to change routes to keep moving.
- You see a lot. Not only the "big" tourist attractions, but the back streets and beautiful architecture of the old homes.
- Informative narration from the driver/guide. Also, you can dialogue with him if you so choose.
- Personal tour guide. The driver gets out of the car and escorts you into various attractions and provides information.
- Champagne, if you want.
- You get to be the center of attention.
Cons:
- The car is a little noisy (hey, it's 75 years old). It was a beautiful day, so we had the windows down, which made it a little hard to hear at times. But once we were in the city and driving slower this wasn't a problem.
- The driver desires to be paid in cash, so be prepared; but he will accept credit cards in a pinch. Note: for the sake of his business and the comfort of his clients, I recommend he change this policy and readily accept credit cards.
But overall, this is a great experience and one which I highly recommend. After seeing Boston in this manner I cannot imagine dragging my wife off and on a crowded tour bus. The extra expense is well worth the experience and convenience.

Mark was very accommodating and informative. We were a group of 11 coming into Boston on a cruise ship for 8 hours and we all wanted to do the tour. He divided our group into 2. He dropped group 1 at the marketplace and took group 2 on the tour. He then brought group 2 to marketplace and took group 1 on the tour. After, he returned everyone to the ship in plenty of time to board. He dressed in 1930s apparrel and so did we. We had a ball. He took us along the Freedom Trail pointing our points of interest as well as to Harvard and Fenway Park. We were able to go into Hobbitt Memorial Hall, Fenway Park and Harvard. We also drove pass the Boston Marathon bombing site and Cheers. The antique limo was impressive and comfortable. He also gave us suggestions on what to do in the marketplace and where to eat. My only complaint is the traffic and road construction slowed us down but he managed to manuever around it. Great tour! Would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic tour from Mark, he really made the tour come alive. Because we had done the Freedom Trail tour the previous day Mark tailored the 2.5hrs to the things we hadn't yet seen. We popped in and out of free museums up and down little cobble streets that normal tour buses wouldn't be able to get through.

We paid for a 2 1/2 hour tour that only lasted 2 hours and about 20% of that time was sitting in traffic. They were late in picking us up due to traffic and could not give us the full 2 1/2 hours due to another booking. They did discount the fee some. The history we did receive was very interesting - could have down without the imitations and corny jokes.

My mother can't get around as easily as she used to, and this was the perfect solution.
City tour in comfort and luxury!

We (my adult daughter and I) had a very fun time with Mark in his vintage Cadillac 1940 Fleetwood limo. (I think I got the date right).
Mark met us at the cruise terminal after our Holland America cruise to New England and Canadian Maritimes. He is a character and lots of fun.
We were able to have a nice tour of the city with many stopping to see the car. We visited Fenway Park on a game day, and saw a festival in the Italian area along with many of the usual and unusual sites since both of us had been in Boston many times. My daughter and Mark enjoyed a hot dog at Fenway and I had some great ice cream at the festival. Brought back memories of when I was a kid (Italian Feast). Mark dropped us off at the airport after a 2 1/2 hr tour and helped with our bags. It was extremely hot and the AC helped a lot but was not great in a vintage car. Well worth the slight inconvenience. Mark is very colorful and we enjoyed being with him. It was certainly time well spent before we had to be at the airport.

My mum and I are coming to Boston in early September. Would you be able to book us onto a 2.5 hour tour on Thursday 6 September? My mum is 82 and visually impaired but otherwise fit and healthy. Thanks you
Mark,my wife and I will be visiting Boston and would like to know if you are available on July 5 starting at 10am for a 5 1/2hr. tour.
We are both in our seventies but in good shape and would like to incorporate some walking in our tour.
We would look to you to create an itinerary for us to see as much if historic Boston as is reasonable without speeding through our tour not remembering much if what we saw. In other words quality instead of quantity.
A seafood lunch of raw cherrystone clams and lobster would be great but not fancy, maybe something by the wharf.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
