There is something special about Boston on Christmas Eve. The church was lovely. The choir sang beautiful Christmas Carols, along with the audience. The pastor gave a nice sermon/speech and the candlelight part of the service was beautiful. Definitely worth the wait in line.

We visited this church on September 27. The church it self is not that special. But the 16 window glasses made by Tiffany make it very special.

We are in Boston all the time, yet have never stopped in to the Arlington St Church to see the windows. This changed Saturday. We were early, and had time to walk around, saw the door open and went in. The Tiffany glass is beautiful. One can almost not tell that they are glass, confusing them with paintings, but they let you touch one or two to feel the glass working, and there is no question that it is glass. This is well worth the $5. If you enjoy Christian themes, make sure you have the time to sit and admire each window individually, they are magical with many quiet biblical references that only quiet observation will provide.

Lovely church and the Tiffany windows are stunning.
All very well kept and all have a description to read if that's your thing.

A must see if you like Tiffany and stained-glass. There were only another two people in when I visited so very quiet and peaceful. The windows are absolutely stunning. Small entrance free.

I’m a huge fan of Tiffany church windows and there are some beautiful ones here. You can enjoy them in 1/2 hour or so for only $5 a person.

This church has beautiful Tiffany windows. It’s a beautiful church and we really enjoyed our tour. I recommend it to everyone!

If you are a fan of the visual arts, consider stretching that category a bit to include the stained glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany. This cohesive group of 16 monumental windows designed and executed specifically for this site is an impressive and inspiring sight. Our friendly but not overbearing tour guide (available at the instant we walked in and willing to do a tour just for us) explained and pointed out the various glazing techniques such as: opalescence (overlaying differently colored panes), drapery (varying the thickness of the glass), confetti (impressionistic flecks of color), rippling (like pressing your linens with too hot an iron) to create water effects, and leaving air pockets between layers of glass to let in more natural light for the depiction of those splendid sunsets. This led to a greater appreciation of the skill involved in executing the designs -- which are by Frederick Wilson. If you're not overly religious, as I'm not, these images can still be appreciated for their universal, humanistic values, reminiscent of William Blake. A stellar experience right near Boston Public Gardens, and a worthwhile place to plunk down the small requested donation ($5).

Kerk uit het midden van de 18e eeuw met rijke historie. Het Gotische ontwerp lijkt inderdaad verrassend veel op the Church of Saint Martin in the Fields in London. Op dit moment staat de torenspits in de steigers en is niet te bezoeken. Het interieur is donker. Op deze zondag ging de kerk pas om 10.30 open...
