Outstanding tour!
Paula was wonderful and gave insights and history in many wonderful ways.
Many folks along the street and in the restaurants knew her and talked of her being so well-liked and respected in the area.

Paula delivered well above our expectations! She has an impressive knowledge of Little Italy ( as well as many other things) and her presentation is engaging and pleasant. She is well connected in the community and we sure did eat lots of food!!!!! Food food and more food! Bring your appetite!

Paula is amazing. She felt like a friend by the end of the tour. It was myself and my 18 year old son so it’s fine if you don’t have that plus one. Paula has so much knowledge on the history of the north end. The food she chose for us to try was AMAZING!
She explains in detail what we’re eating. What the history behind it all is and some personal stories of hers was something she shared. It was so much fun and you are crazy if you don’t book this for your next Boston trip.

Paula is AMAZING - her tour is so informative, full of fun and engaging story telling, and so much great food! By the end you feel as if a dear friend walked you around their neighborhood and introduced you to her friends. She is warm and friendly, funny and genuine….and we were stuffed by the end! 11 out of 10….we LOVED it and we will be back,

Paula provides a unique perspective with her insight on Italian wine, olive oil, and the surrounding culture of the North End. I would highly recommend this personal experience that highlights the joys of community, the experiences available in the metropolitan, and the amazing food available if you know where to look.

My husband and I are from the area, and he is a tour guide who does historical tours throughout Boston. We went on this tour along with a friend from out of town. Be ready to listen to a little bit of history. If that’s not your jam, this one might not be for you. However, we all thought it was amazing.
Bullet points:
the food is not only delicious but also rather unique as opposed to “typical Italian“ specialties.
Pula gives great historical perspective. This tour is like getting a history tour with your food tour.
The north end is very small, geographically, so there’s not a lot of walking.
You get to drink some wine!
She was extremely helpful with regard to my gluten-free allergy.
Some food tours I’ve been on you feel absolutely stuffed and uncomfortable, but his was the perfect amount of food.
Paula is very personable and willing to answer any of your questions
We had a great time and highly recommend taking this tour. You will not regret it.

Two friends and I recently went on the North End Food and History Tour, and we enjoyed every minute. Paula is a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Even though all three of us are from the Boston area and have visited the North End many times, Paula taught us new things about the buildings and history of the North End. The food stops were varied, and each one was excellent. The pace of the tour was perfect. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys history, food, and the opportunity to explore one of Boston's most beautiful neighborhoods. Getting to spend the afternoon with Paula was an added bonus. She's great!

We had an excellent tour with Paula. We saw much of the North End and experienced the food as well as stopping in other places such as an independent bookstore.
Highly recommend.

We’ve been to the North End many times.
We’re so glad that we chose this particular one. Paula was informative.. & knowledgeable. She took us to a lot of places that locals like. We tried many different kinds of local flavors. If you love going to the North End .. I highly recommend this tour! Thankyou again Paula for a great experience! You did an amazing job!!

Is there enough non-sweets to sample? I'm not against sweets, but I've been on food tours that are mostly sweets and after a while it gets a bit too much when your primary food for the afternoon is baked goods and chocolate.

Absolutely, the tour ends with gelato and espresso. All the other stops are savory items. This is a really well curated tour that is purposeful in its destinations. You won't be overwhelmed with any one type of food.

Yes. Very relaxed pace. Lots of stops. Only two sit downs so you have to be able to stand for a fair time.

We like to park at International Place. After 5 and on weekends, with a coupon from their website, it's only $7. It's a pleasant 15-minute walk to the North End through the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

The "Off the Eaten Path" tour does not duplicate the Freedom Trail. On our tour, we crossed the trail a few times, but the information from our guide actually helped us know what to do if we wanted to walk the Freedom Trail. You get to see and experience part of the North End that you would never have a chance to do if you do not go on this tour. It is a must do. Everyone in our group agreed.
