I want to thank our event planner Margie Duigan and the staff at Scholars for doing a wonderful job for us. The food was excellent and plentiful - especially the sliders which really were big hits. The bar staff were friendly and on the ball - as were the servers. Everything was great value.
It was a company re-union for about 30 people. The space on the balcony near the pool tables was just right and could easily have accommodated a larger group.

What a wonderful find! This gem is on the Freedom Trail and just down the street from the Omi Parker House and super close to shopping on Washington Street, and a stone's throw away from King's Chapel and historic burying grounds. We each ordered clam chowder and shared the beet and quinoa salad with grilled chicken, Brussel sprouts, and veggie sliders. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend and will return!

Great place for lunch or to grab drinks after work. Lots of space so it is deceiving. Food is good and the beer selection is top notch!

Great After Works Drinks spot. Good to go with a group of friends looking have a good time. 2 times to go....after work drinks and then the night party crowd.

This is a great spot for lunch if you are like me of AARP age. The food is great and there is a huge bar you can sit at. However after work it turns into a really lively loud fun spot for the under 45 crowd. Too loud for me but everyone seems to be having a wonderful time.

I have eaten lunch at Scholars a few times, because it is around the corner from my office. Food was OK and has typical downtown prices. Last October I was meeting a friend for lunch and arrived early to avoid the lunch time rush. The hostess could not have been more rude. She refused to provide a decent table even though the place was empty. I guess their business depends on their after work drinking crowd, which are treated like cattle.

My fiancé and I went there near closing time for a last drink of the night and the barkeeper was very nice and attentive with our service, even though he was trying to close.
