One of the oldest orchestras in the United States, the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has its own stop on the Green Line, i.e., Symphony. The area in which it's located is not one you will find on a list of tourist hot spots, but that's exactly why you should visit. Located near Northeastern University's urban campus and the Boston Philharmonic, the BSO's neighbourhood is characterized by pubs, chain and independent restaurants celebrating a number of cuisines.

We went to an open rehearsal at 10:30 a.m. today and heard Alborado del gracioso by Ravel, the American premiere of Les Chants de l'aube by a French composer, Thierry Escaich, and Rachmaninoff's ultra-romantic Symphony No. 2. As one would expect from a top-ranking ensemble like the BSO and a conductor like Andris Nelsons, the music-making was wonderful.

Beethoven to open was delightfully playful and engaging. Tchaikovsky’s Fifth to close. The conductor’s passion for his craft shows through not only in him but in the way the ensemble responds to his cues. The cellos and horns sang through lifting up Tchaikovsky most beautifully.
Being able to pay $25 dollars since I am under forty was a pleasant surprise. Regardless of the expense; the architecture, music, experience, and history make it worth the full price.

Un auditorium di pregevole architettura ed eccellente acustica. Gli ambienti, dai salotti alla ristorazione, danno la sensazione di un club di lusso dove trascorrere qualche tempo piacevolmente prima o dopo il concerto. L'orchestra stabile è tra le migliori al mondo, degna di una grande città intellettuale

I don't know if I can say anything about seeing and hearing this orchestra that has not already been said. My experience was terrific - a piano concerto, the beautiful symphony and a soprano to finish night.
Somehow the building comes off as ancient yet perfect. Maybe there is a lesson there about getting something right then leaving it alone.
I cannot imagine why it took me so long to go see this in person.

Die Boston Symphony gehört zu den besten Konzertsälen der Welt. Für jeden Musikfreund wird der herrliche Saal, eine Kopie des alten, zerstörten Gewandhauses in Leipzig, zum Erlebnis. Kein Wunder, dass in einem klanglich so grandiosen Saal auch die Spielkultur des beheimateten Orchesters ihre Basis hat. Man freut sich beim Weggehen auf die Wiederkehr.

First time, was very historical and sound acoustic were awesome in that building. Worth the money. Only complaint was a tall individual in front of me a few rows up in center blocking my view at some points so next time I would sit higher

４月２３日（木）ＰＭ８：００からのボストン交響楽団の公演のチケットを後輩が（きをきかせて）事前に取ってくれていたのですが、４月２３日（木）のＰＭ１８：５５にボストン・ローガン空港到着の飛行機のため、公演に間に合わないと思っています。遅れてもいいから行きたいと思うのですが、公演は何時までやっているのでしょうか？「開幕に遅れた場合は最初の幕間に着席する」と旅行雑誌に書いてあったのですが、どのくらいの遅れまで許されるのでしょうか？もしくはキャンセルはできるのでしょうか？教えてください。
