Phenomenal tour. There are lots of options to choose from for this tour. The staff are all very friendly and our tour guide, Joel, was awesome. Learning about Sam Adams history, their brewing process and tasting some of the microbrews was a great experience. We’d do this again!

Very informative $10 tour that included three 4 to 5 ounce beer samples. We had the Boston Lager, a seasonal and a lesser known, but publicly available option. Head to the bar area afterwards to purchase beers on tap or from the coolers that are in the R&D stage and not available anywhere else. Ask the bartender for favorites and try a taste of 1 or 2 before ordering

I went on the Sam Signature Experience Tour and Beyond the Brewhouse Tour. As a person who homebrews as a hobby, it was very interesting to see and hear about the Sam Adams process. The samples were great, staff was friendly, and overall it was a fun experience. I would recommend purchasing the add-ons.

We took an uber from downtown Boston out to the brewery and we were glad we did! We did the standard tour and it was a great one. There was a very healthy serving of beer during the tour! We even got to try some R&D beer:) We enjoyed getting a custom flight afterwards too.

We went to the Sam Adams Brewery during a trip to Boston for my spouse's birthday weekend. We decided to try the "Keller Crafted: Artisan Beer & Cheese Experience". This experience involves a tour of the barrel-aging cellar, a detailed history of the barrel-aging process and how new Sam Adams beers are developed, and a paired tasting of two cheeses along with three new/different beers. (We also received a bonus tour of the main brewhouse, which normally is *not* a part of this experience, because of minor delays in getting started - this was a welcome surprise!)
The experience was very interesting, and our tour guide very engaging and knowledgeable. I learned a lot and very much enjoyed the cheeses and all three beers, which were each very different. The first beer was experimental and had a very unusual flavor, but after the initial surprise and uncertainty, I ended up appreciating the taste and finished the sample. The others were a bit more conventional, but still had their own unique flavor profiles. (Note - there's no guarantee you will like all three samples! The important thing is to stay open minded and be willing to try something new.)
After the tasting, we had a little time to walk around the cellar, inspect the equipment more closely and ask questions. (If desired, I recommend that you start finishing off any remaining cheese or beer immediately after tasting your third sample, so you are left with adequate time to walk around and ask questions.)
A fantastic experience and well worth it! Would definitely repeat this experience in the future (samples are likely to be different each time).

I have been on a lot of brewery tours. This one was still fresh. The drinks as you go through the tour was a nice touch (instead of just getting them at the end). The tour guide was fantastic. The beer was great!

We love Samuel Adams beer and were looking forward to this tour; however, it was subpar, in both of our opinions. We signed up for the 3 tastings tour. The info about the history and brewing just skimmed the surface. Less than one hour and you get a tiny tasting glass at the end. Harpoon brewery tour blows this one away! The brewery atmosphere was fine, but I’d skip the tour.

This was the best tour I’ve ever been on! Joel was so charming and funny! He answered all our questions in such a fun and engaging way! I would take this tour 1,000 times. The beer was also so tasty 😋

We did the 45 minute Sam Adams Beyond the Brewhouse tour and can highly recommend it. The guide was super fun and informative and we got to sample 3 beers in our visit. We also got to keep our small tasting glasses as a souvenir of our. Visit. This tour is great value and highly recommended.

I would call to confirm the times. When we were there Aug 2019, the first free tour was at 11:00 am and then every 20 minutes. We took the orange line to Stony Brook and it was just a short walk. The smokestack says "Haffenreffer," not Sam Adams.

Yes when we went years ago there was a fee however since time has passed I believe the fee might be higher and I would contact them directly to find out exactly how much the fee is now. Have fun because we did for sure...!
