This was an unexpected gift when visiting the North End. I was very familiar with Paul Revere House but never heard of this historic place. They are adjacent and well worth the visit.

ボストンのファニュエル・ホールより少し北側に位置します。中には入れないようで、外観のみ見学してきました。歴史的な家ですが、その説明も少しあります。歴史を感じさせる煉瓦造りの建物が素敵だなと思います。

It lies along the Freedom Trail so it is nice to look at. However, it was locked when we were there and there is nothing to do.

John Hancock owned this home but let his younger brother Ebenezer live there. In 1776 Ebenezer was appointed Deputy Paymaster General of the Continental Army and this home would have played a large part during the revolution for disbursement of money to the troops. This structure is one of Boston's 40 historic homes, is on the Freedom Trail Near Faneuil Hall and the Union Oyster House. It is private and you can not visit inside. Outside pictures only.

One of the many attractions you can see along the Freedom Trail is the Ebenezer Hancock House, just north of Faneuil Hall on Marshall Street. This is one of the few surviving buildings from the late 18th century and the former residence of John Hancock's brother Ebenezer.
Unfortunately, this historic building isn't open to the public due to it being presently used for office space. However, you can enjoy the exterior of the three storey red-brick building. There is a plague with historical information at the corner of the building.

The Ebenezer Hancock House is on the Freedom Trail and is a historic site, but is now an office building. So you can only admire the exterior and can't go inside.
