Nice place to take a break while walking the Freedom Trail

This is a rather small park along the Freedom Trail. If you find you need a place to rest and eat a snack, this is a good place to do that. The fountain in the middle is quite beautiful. Walk around the outside and read some of the many plaques on the wall to get a better sense of the importance in history of this location.

注意！Freedam Trailの分かれ道

Freedam Trailの終盤、Charles Town Bridgeを渡った所にある公園です。赤レンガが敷かれていて、整備されて綺麗な公園。
風見鶏がてっぺんにある噴水が中央にあります。
Freedam Trailはここで2方向に分かれています。一つはNavy Yardに向かう道、もう一つはこの公園を抜ける道。Navy Yard側の道が正解！
僕は公園側に進んで、バンカーヒルの後にNavy Yardに寄ることになってしまいました。
いつもの行き当たりばったりの旅、ちょっと反省です。（まあ、僕はそのルートで良かったと思っているのですが。)

Klein stadspark in Boston bestaande uit een grasveldje, een standbeeld, enkele bomen en een lege fontein. Dit alles zonder enige uitleg of verwijzing naar historische importantie. De onaantrekkelijkheid wordt bevorderd door langsrazend verkeer. Vrijwel geen horeca in de buurt Bor een versnapering. Advies: overslaan

バンカーヒルの麓、緑陰が心地よかった

フリーダムトレイルの仕上げ、バンカーヒルへ向かう途中、チャールズ川を渡った先にあった公園。
噴水や木陰が有り、真夏のような暑さでうだっていたので、ほっと一息。
この先は住宅地。
近隣住民の憩いの場だ。

橋を渡った先、チャールズタウン側にある公園。

フリーダムトレイルを歩いたのでノースエンドからチャールズタウン橋を渡りました。
渡った先すぐのトレイルコースに沿ったところにある公園がここ。
暑い日だったので緑豊かな公園は気持ちが良かったです。

This is a small park, but provided a nice refugee from the Freedom Trail, to take a break. The area is small and can get crowded.

ボストンの公園の一つですが、チャールズタウンにあります。水辺に近く、気持ちの良い公園です。銅像なども、いくつか設置されており、それを見たり、のんびりしたりできます。

Small but nice

Just off the Freedom Trail, the City Square Park is small, but offers some interesting memorials, statues and a great view across to the Zakim Bridge. The Park offers easy access to walk back to North End via the Charlestown Bridge.

Great place to stop and sit down on the Freedom Trail!

City Square Park is a historic park in the southern end of Charlestown on the Freedom Trail. It consists of grassy areas, historic markers, sculptures, and a gorgeous fountain and weather vane in the middle of the park. The park used to be the site of Charlestown's City Hall when it was an independent city (it was annexed to Boston in 1874). It was later the site of the City Square MBTA Orange Line stop when the Charlestown Elevated section of the Orange Line ran through there. The Orange Line has since been moved, and the station has not been operational since 1975.

The park is a great place to take a break from walking the Freedom Trail and enjoy the shade in the summertime. It is within walking distance of good restaurants in Charlestown and even across the bridge in North End and West End.

En Charleston, creado por los amigos del parque, una organizacion no lucrativa que busca promover los espacios verdes en esta zona de la ciudad.
Un lugar ideal para relajarse, caminar, sentarse a ver la gente pasar.
