在各国参观过不少舰船，这里的飞机展陈很丰富，军事迷二战迷可以过把瘾。整洁度不如伦敦俄罗斯的（因为商业购物很多，还有所谓的体验……就是VR 游戏），美国人的经商意识强，估计这里的人流可以给到每日8-10万＄收入。

正好住在市中心，所以我们走到这里参观了一下，非常值得一看的地方！看到大家平均在里面可以呆上两到三个小时，我们是带着小朋友的家庭，我觉得三到四个小时可以玩的比较好。很多地方需要上上下下，可以看的地方非常多。免费的语音讲解也非常好，还分大人和儿童以及多种语言。讲解里面不光介绍了地点或者设备的基本情况，而且还配有当时亲历者讲述的感受，非常有身临其境的感觉。博物馆里Cruise码头非常近，感觉很多参观者都是从游轮上下来参观的。六岁以上的小朋友才开始收费，这就意味着真正能够有所体会的年龄大概也要八九岁了，不过当作一个迷宫一样的大房子，转一转各个小房屋对于小一些的小朋友也很有趣了，不过很多地方stroller是到不了的，有些楼梯陡峭也需要爸爸妈妈多加留意了。

这里相当于博物馆，信息量很大，更可贵的是体验！当时航母的运作流程（包括情报编发）和不同角色人员的分工等，都可以自己体验，要整整4小时参观体验，一点都不夸张，军迷的惊喜体验 ^_^

中途岛号航空母舰退役后，就停在圣地牙哥的海港旁，改装成展示的博物馆有许多退伍军人志工参与，看得出来他们乐于分享过去的经验和参与的历史，这使得整个参观的过程更为生动，增加不同凡响的意义，建议留下半天好好的走上一圈，基本上这里就像一个小型城市一样，非常大而且有趣!

这里满足一切孩子们对于飞机大炮的幻想。进入大门就有专门的人引导领取解说，免费的，直接挂在脖子上，大概3岁的孩子就能使用，内容是那种小故事似的，可以挑选语言，很有意思。一层有卖吃的，三明治大概5刀？忘记了。最好能安排一整天，因为小朋友会不想走～

作为一名退役海军军官，我喜欢看《另一半是如何生活的》这部电影，这已经是我在过去5年中第3次来这里参观了，这里一直在增加展出的飞机数量，这点让我印象深刻，现在面向公众开放的区域也比我几年前来的时候要大了很多。这里有讲解员为你讲解不同的展品，他们所有人都知识渊博，有一些是参加过中途岛战役的老兵，还有些也曾在部队服役。

他们的音响系统很棒，和船上的老伙计聊天很棒，他们都是志愿者，喜欢做他们所做的事情。一切都很好，信息也很丰富。早点去以避开人群。

It's a self guided tour. There's several docents around to answer questions. The only timed event is the movie they show in the mini-theater.

I'm trying to plan a business trip to San Diego and would like to reserve either the Langley or the Ranger meeting room. Am just looking for estimated cost so that I can include that in the proposal. Plan would be 8 hours one day and 5 hours the second day. Timeframe would be flexible but for getting estimate, let's just say late May during the work week. Prompt response is very appreciated as would like to get it approved and need that info. Have tried calling Midway staff multiple times and keep getting voice mail and zero calls returned.

Can someone who visited within the last few months, can you answer this. For the audio tour, do you need to bring your own wired earbuds or do they provide loaner headphones if you don't have earbuds?

I'll answer my own question. They provide an audio device that has a small built-in speaker, however, it's better to use your own headphones or wired earbuds. They do not provide you with headphones, so you'll need to bring your own. As an alternative, you can also use your smartphone with their app to listen to the audio recordings.

The ship is the museum, all one in the same. Tickets can be purchased a few months before your visit, however, there is no need to buy ahead of time as traffic flows through all day and tickets will not sell out. Just make sure to arrive a couple hours before closing to ensure enough time to see the entire attraction.

What does the Island Tour at the USS MIdway consist of? and does it have an additional fee?

The Island Tour is a Docent-led tour of 3 spaces in the carrier’s “superstructure”: Primary Flight Control (Control Tour for the 4.2 acre airport), Chart Room, and the Navigation Bridge/Pilot House. This tour is included in the admission price. The last tour begins 45 minutes-1 hour before the Museum closes, so head there early in your visit. There is a line/wait as the areas are small and the group size is limited to 20 guests at a time.

The Island Tour is the only Docent-guided tour available on the ship. It is included in the admission cost along with the movie ("Voices of Midway") in the Battle of Midway theater. On the Island Tour, a Docent leads a small group through Primary Flight Control, the Chart Room, and the Navigation Bridge/Pilot House areas of the superstructure (aka: Island). The rest of the ship has story-boards throughout where use of audio device (also included in the admission price) is highly encouraged.

we did an overnighton the battleship massachusetts when i was a boy scout. all i can remember is how hot it was in the bunk room and a few of us had gotten chased back down after trying to sleep on the deck. i could imagine what our boys wenr through during ww2
