Tuna Harbor Dockside Market - The dockside night market event on 8/25 was extremely disappointing. We waited over an hour to get in, and then faced additional waits of 20 to 60 minutes per tasting. After spending four hours there, we only managed to sample 6 out of the 20 offered. The bathroom situation was also inadequate, with just one male, one female, and one unisex bathroom for at least 2,000-3,000 attendees. Overall, the event felt poorly organized and overcrowded, leading to a frustrating experience. It was a waste of time and money, and the organizers should address these issues to prevent future disappointments.

Great place to buy fish of all kinds. Didn’t know they will actually cut the fish for you too but that’s an important tip! Prices were great - got 4 big pieces for $80

While waiting for our tour boat we visited this area and boy was ot a treat. Noce gift shops, tadty ceviche, fish tacos, mango smoothie, and strawberry daiquiri.

Cool place to shop for fresh seafood. The market, which features seafood caught by local fishing boats, is located on the dock behind Seaport Village. This place is seafood lovers’ favorite place to get fresh seafoods. It only opens on Saturday at 8 am. The line was very long by the time we got there by 9am this week.
We peeked to see what kind of seafoods they have. It looked like the market has several stalls that were offering varieties of seafood choices. Some stalls sell lobsters and prawns while others offer sea urchin and crabs. They have the seafood for all tastes. For people who prefer cooked seafood, there was another line for cooked seafoods. We didn’t have a chance to check out this line as we ran out of time.
Next time we should come a bit earlier to avoid the two hour wait.

Vacationing in San Diego. Brought our cooler/foodsaver/froze the fish. So fresh - Now in our freezer in Las Vegas. So glad we were able to do this. They will also clean them for free at the dock but we bought already cleaned. Great time!

We toured the entire West Coast this year, and we never found a fisherman's market that truly sold "catch of the day" fish right off the boat. That was until we stumbled upon the the Tuna Harbor Dockside Market. The commercial fishermen were happy to visit with us and cordially answer our tourist questions. I was told that this market only operated on Saturday mornings.

小さな桟橋風の突堤で、その日に獲れた魚を売っているようです。
獲れる魚は決まっているようで、最初から看板に書いてあって、その日に獲れた魚にチェックを入れるようになっています。
ここに来た時間が10:20だったけど、朝早く来たら、もっと活気があったのでしょうね。

I go there every Saturday morning: every week there is a different selection of freshly caught fish and other edible sea creatures - all at the most affordable prices.
It's not just a food shopping, but a cultural experience, as well.
The sellers are regulars, connections and friendships you make last a lifetime.
Whether you are a tourist or a local - this Saturday morning event is worth visiting.
Most of the fresh catch is cooked in a makeshift tent, so you can taste what you buy.
NOTE: a fresh raw sea urchin is a must treat for yourselves and your families. :)
