Right off of town. Close parking, and beautiful in the evenings. Nice to grab dinner nearby and just stroll over after dinner.

A great free opportunity when in downtown Manteo - just park and walk the lighthouse and the area around it. It's far from your "typical" lighthouse but great for some pictures and even more stunning at sunset. Don't forget to check out the pirate ship while there.

Went here on a Monday night and it was a great view. Yes I am talking about a small lighthouse but truly is is pretty in its own way. Built over the water and kept in pristine condition. Check it out and enjoy the structure!

This is not the typical tall, stately lighthouse. Rather, the light sits atop a single story structure poised at the end of a pier in historic downtown Manteo. It has a very classic coastal appearance. It is (or was not) attended during our visit and the stairs were closed so we could not climb it but there are informative presentations within the building. It is worth the visit if you already in Manteo or are on a mission to view all of the OBX lighthouses.

This place is just beautiful. Very clean. This was like a hidden GEM. The weather was just perfect. We were able to walk up to and around the Lighthouse. The park was wonderful. We bought ice cream at Uncle Ben’s Ice Cream shop and enjoyed it at a picnic table under a tree.

This beautiful cottage style lighthouse is situated on the Shallowbag Bay. It is a replica built in 2004. It is adjacent to the George Washington Memorial park. Few parking spaces at park available. Be sure to check out the information board on the weather tower flag warning system, the screw that once anchored the lighthouse in place and the sign showing the water level after hurricane Irene hit the area in 2011. The small museum inside the lighthouse is open M-F 9am-5pm.

On our first visit to the Outer Banks, my wife and I made a point to visit the lighthouses, including this one. The visitor area inside had some information, but the stairs were roped off so we couldn't walk up. The nearby Queen Elizabeth 2 ship was visible from the lighthouse, but not open for the season yet.

Im kinda a lighthouse nerd so of corse I had to see this one. Its very small and not a lot to see inside but its a very pretty lighthouse. They have a little info inside about it. If you need a stamp for you lighthouse passport book, you will get that in the boathouse museum in front.

The lighthouse is near shops in Manteo. Beautiful scenery all around. Can’t walk up to top but there is a small museum with history about lighthouse inside the lighthouse.

Take US-158 south to US-64, go right over to Roanoke Island. Take the US-64 right towards Manteo. At Fernando Street, take a right. Got to the end and park. It’s right there.
