Our best night in NYC. Been coming to New York once a year for the past decade and this place gave us the best night we've had here. The atmosphere is so friendly and inviting, which is created by the server and pianist.
Everyone is welcomed to come up on stage and the quality of singing doesn't matter, we had a variety of people getting up.
Can't wait to go back!

Sid Gold’s Request Room is my favorite place in NYC. The perfect vibe for parties with friends, team building with your colleagues, intimate date nights or even a solo karaoke date with yourself! 11/10 would recommend checking out this absolute iconic spot. Get ready to belt your heart out to a live pianist! The staff is incredible & the drinks hit just right. Can’t wait to come back soon for more fun!

My colleague took me as he had been there before when it first opened. It was a great experience with a really friendly feel. The piano player was great and the singers were very good. Everyone had fun in a cosy friendly atmosphere. Drinks are expensive.

Sid Gold's is a rather unassuming room at the back of a bar/restaurant. We went through the curtains and put ourselves down on the banquette. We ordered a couple beverages and settled in for the music.
The night we were there it was karaoke. The talent varied from extremely good to marginal. It was not a machine providing the music but a real live pianist. Top marks for that.
Drinks were reasonably priced. The crowd seemed mixed between tourists, locals and folks from the outer boroughs. Pop in for a couple drinks and a couple tunes and you'll have a good time like we did.

Visited this place after reading the reviews on here. It was busy, with locals (a good sign) but we got a table. Service was at the bar, and was quick and friendly. However, didn't have one of the ingredients for my cocktial choice but offered a similar substitue. But charged me more for this...thats not really a substitute in my eyes, but an alternative. When we arrived the piano karaoke should have been going for almost an hour, but it was quiet and not very atmopsheric. But in their defence, we were sat in the front bar, not the back, and didn't stay for ages. Perhaps we were just unlucky.

Fun place but the piano bar, which is why we went, did not get started until 9 and by 10 they were taking a long break. Everyone inside was a bit drunk so the karaoke was pretty awful but the place has potential to be great. It was a mid-week visit so hopefully the weekends are much livlier. By 10 PM the break was so long we decided to leave.

This place is a piano room (no cover) with a woman playing the piano for people who want to sing. She must know 300 plus song that she plays live. The Saturday night we were there the place had a good crowd. You can reserve a spot at the piano. They had some regulars who were very good singers and some people that, let me be kind, and say not so good.

This bar is lovely nice mix of music playing really good cocktails and not to busy. The karaoke bar at the back is good fun, but the front bar is ideal of a quite drink. Love this place, round the corner from our hotel so ideal location.

Really small venue, eclectic group of people, very fun
We got lucky on Saturday night and managed to get seats at the piano.
Fun crowd, Lindsey keeps the singers going and is entertaining too!
If you have a group, plan ahead and make a table reservation for Sid Gold's.
