How long should we anticipate the security check taking at the Battery Park entrance to the ferry? I'm reading anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. We will be there for a 10:00 AM ferry in July. thanks.
It took us around 10 minutes or just under but I’m not sure you can plan for the security check to take a specific amount of time. Things such as number of visitors, number of security check staff, whether all of the security equipment is working, etc. can influence the time required. There are some benches outside after the security check point that you may use while waiting on the ferry. I suggest giving yourself some extra time and enjoy the scenery while waiting just to make sure you don’t miss your ride.
If I get the ticket for the base of the statue, will that also let me into the theater to see the new film???
Hi, Sorry I can’t help with this 😟. Our tickets took us further up, so I don’t know what other packages are available. It’s a long walk though, and the lift is only available for those who are mobility impaired.
Is it worth visiting liberty/Ellis island if I’m only in nyc for 2 days? Or should I just take the Staten Island ferry and see the statue from afar in to save time?
When I was there, the statue itself was closed for entrance - we could only walk around the park. Ellis island was interesting (if you use the audio guide that is provided with entrance) but if you don't have a particular interest in the early 1900's immigrant experience, and the statue itself is still closed, I would skip this as it will eat up the better part of a day.
Anyone can give a WhatsApp# of any good Tour Guide for statue of Liberty & New York city? Thanks
On my trip I didn’t need a guide, as soon as we got to the island we stopped at first booth you see and the gave us a phone looks like and guide us throughout the island. Very easy to use, and you can set them up and different languages if you have a multilingual group.
We are thinking about going to the Statue of Liberty in November. I know it is normally recommended to get tickets in advance but I am wondering what the situation is during this COVID time period. Would we be able to "play it by ear" and get tickets on sight or should we purchase ahead? I am aware that the statue itself is closed.
This attraction is back open and you can play by ear.
I bought a ticket to the statue of liberty. Where should I have to report for a trip to the statue of liberty.
Battery Park - subway nearby. Pre-book the first slot of the day because the queues are horrendous - also get there at least 45 minutes ahead of the ticket time.
