I saw Hadestown there and it was fantastic! It's a smaller theater so there isn't really a bad seat in the house, and the theater itself is pretty inside.

Saw stunning performance of Hadestown here _ April, 2023. Beautiful older theater. 2 suggestions
1. Go to restroom before performance. Facilities are very limited and lines are huge
2. Buy merch and drinks before performance. Again, very small area in which to purchase and mobbed during intermission and after performance

This theater was very cramped. We had seats center of the first row on the mezzanine and beware that legroom is sparse here, which was not great for my 6'4" husband. The bathroom lines snake down the stairs and the bar line snakes up the stairs. Even the merchandise and drinks have to be purchased from the back of the theater.

Loved the small, old theatre with its decorative gold leaf designs, ornate ceiling decorations, and large murals. The theater’s unique details make it a neat spot to see a show. We sat front row Mezzanine & had a great view of the stage. Hadestown is worth seeing on Broadway or on its national tour.

The Walter Kerr Theater os one of the 40+ major theater houses in the Theater District. It was named for Mr. Kerr who was the long time theater critic for the New York Times. It is a proscenium arch theater. Very good sight lines. For women, I suggest you go to the bathroom before the show. The lines for the ladies room are very long. Saw "Hadestown" this time.

Attended Hadestown along with 129 other students and chaperones from Mt. Pleasant High School in Iowa. This visit was part of the bi-annual trip the music students take. Students and chaperones had their choice of one of three shows to see and I chose Hadestown, which was the most popular of the three choices. I found this theater to be small (from what I would expect in NYC) but very cozy. The temperature was perfect for me - never heard anyone in our group complain. I didn't use the restrooms but heard afterwards from others in our group that the staff kept the lines moving. The staff was very strict about everyone wearing a mask - properly. I had no problem with that. The show was absolutely great in every way. Seats were more comfortable than what I was expecting after reading reviews. Very beautiful interior.

This is an awesome theatre to see Hadestown - we were in the second to last row in the center mezzanine section and it provided us amazing views, getting to see all the details of the show going on below us.

This theatre is all about choosing the right seat. The mezzanine offers the best view of all of the details of the current show in this theatre (Hadestown). The men’s restrooms are in the stairway one flight up from orchestra on the right side of the house, and women’s restrooms are the same but on house left. The balcony gets very warm, but the rear mezz is a bit cooler when the show is on and the lights are out. If you sit in the back row, you’ll occasionally hear the bartender and ushers whispering.

We went to see Hadestown and boy was the show great! What a performance! Absolutely loved it. The theater is perfect for this performance, no bad seat in the house. The theater is a bit on the small side but it made it intimate enough to be on top of the action/performance. Staff was great in getting us all into the building, checking our vaccination cards and letting us through the gate.

Before the COVID, we saw Hadestown back in February. Great show. Very nice theater. We stayed at the Intercontinental, and the walk was short to the theater.

Curious about security. I'd like to carry a portable phone charger (think a larger battery) for the day we're spending in NYC before attending the evening show. Would the battery be an issue at security? Thanks!

There are 3 garages on the block that the theater is located. All are indoor 'the valet will take it' places.
All are safe
All are expensive.
If you have "Spot Hero" app on your phone you will likely save a decent amount on your parking

Typically on a Tuesday show, what time does Bruce Springsteen arrive at the stage door....hopefully sometimes stopping for autographs.

Bruce seems to come earlier on Tuesdays due to not performing on Sundays and Mondays. His Tuesday arrival time is often between 5:30 and 6:00. On the days after he has performed the day before, Bruce typically arrives between 6:30 and 7:00. He usually signs some autographs before entering.

All tickets are sold out for all shows. There are seats on websites such as StubHub and Ticketmaster where you can can pay premium prices for seats. Around $500.00 USD per seat. Best seast are over $1,000 USD.
For those that have sat in the right box seats at the Springsteen on Broadway show, was the entire piano area visible? Thanks for any help!

Yes. It was the best concert I have been to. The right box seats are fantastic. You can see everything. Check out the photo on my review. Fantastic performance fantastic seats.

A couple of hours before the start of the show.. you are better waiting at the exit door after the show when they will spend more time interacting with the fans....
You can order drinks online ahead of time. Is there an advantage to doing this? Will there be little to no line?
I started the process but I had 3 choices when it came time to pick up the drinks, and as you can imagine I can't say for sure exactly what time I will be ready for a beer :-)

I’m not aware if you can order online. The bar is small and tightly packed but stays open throughout. I arrived 15 minutes prior to show and bar was 10-15 people deep. I skipped to be on my seat (show starts promptly at scheduled time). Best bet might be to get there 20-30 min early.
