I loved this place...So many discount places have low prices because they have cheap and shoddily made goods...But Cosmetic Market had top quality cosmetics and beauty products. That included not only shampoos and skin creams, but also totes and make up cases and stockings. They also sold good quality cheeses, chocolates, cookies, coffees, etc. Also hostess gifts. It was well lit and spacious. The shelves were neat, as were the samples to try. I am so sorry to see them go...I am hoping that they decide to reopen in another location! I really miss them, and as yet, haven't discovered anything else like them in NYC. I never met with anything but courteous service when I went there. And I shopped there frequently, even though it was outside of my neighborhood.

I love this place it has everything from Italian coffee to salami, to lip stick, eye shadow and bathrobes. it s NYC's hidden gem. I have no idea when anyone's complaining about how snotty the cashiers are I'm snotty myself and they've always been nice and cordial so I don't know where they're doing at this place has five stars.

I love this place! name brand makeup at about half the cost. so far I have found everything to be of fine quality except for the foundation brush wasn't too good. Amazingly, tucked into the back is a refrigerated case where (if you hit it right) has imported cheese for $5 per pound! I've tried four kinds already and they were awesome. Sometimes they don't have any. I think this place is a lot of fun to explore, lots of good stuff for cheap. some crappy stuff too of course.

I bought a chocolate there. It was all covered in mold. horrible. When I came in expecting an apology and explanation, the sales girl, who cared less, said: "It's not her problem". Total shame. Such place has no place in Midtown Manhattan and has to be thoroughly inspected. I bet they print their own expiration dates and sell fake products!!!

If you are in New York, certainly you have to visit this shop. Here you get all types cosmetics/eatables at throwaway prices. It will be very difficult to decide, what to buy and what not to buy ?

This place has a nice selection of a variety of cosmetic items, some candy, snacks, cosmetic bags and gifts etc all at a discounted price. It is clean and well organized, however it does not have high end quality makeup. I found that I mainly purchased moisturizers, face masks and some brushes. My daughter did get several lip glosses. We will go back the next time in NYC.
