Il parco situato presso chinatown dove si sente un atmosfera particolarmente asiatica, noi ci siamo stati in pieno giorno , e siamo rimasti sorpresi nel vedere tantissime persone asiatiche nel parco intenti a giocare a dei giochi della loro cultura!!!

My mom always tells me to shave and cut my nails and she always complains about me missing spots when I do shave!! She wants me to look good and fancy and I think if I get a lot of gains I’d get more attention from them ladies!! I am going on this rant because it has to do with cleaning up and I know this park was once a slum filled with Daniel Day Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio and Marty Scorsese!! I am a fan of urban renewal and greenery and so this is the OG place for it!! There are a lot of Chinese dudes playing chess and a Chinese statue!!

This is not really a park you’d go out of your way to visit. Instead, it is mostly a space for people who live in that area. It has a basketball court and playground and not a lot of greenery. What makes it somewhat interesting is that it is in the area of the infamous Five Points that was a dangerous and very impoverished area in the past.

The place is nice but there are a lot of kids around there. Obviously, there is a park but if you want to chill over there it’s up to you.
On the other hand, there are a lot of benches to relax and tables to eat or play some card games or chess. It’s the typical movie place.
Also it is the middle point from china town and little Italy so, If you want to relax and eat something. This is the park.

To be experienced during the day, especially at the weekend. Much enjoyed by locals who meet for typical oriental games such as Chinese blackberry. The atmosphere is Asian and you really feel transported away from NY.

The Columbus Park is located in Chinatown with plenty of trees, benches and open space. However, It was kind of crowded and the maintenance wasn’t too good.
There was lots of trash and the smell was terrible. We tried to have our take out there since dining in was not allowed during COVID-19, but the environment was too gross to eat. We ended up having our lunch in the car.
It would be good to take a short walk but we won’t recommend to stay long there.

Es un parque de tamaño mediano, con varias actividades. Es centro de encuentro de la comunidad china en la ciudad, el Barrio Chino se encuentra a metros de allí.
La gente de la comunidad, quizás cansada de los turistas, es un poco hostil y se niega a se saquen fotos en general.

Tranquillo punto di ritrovo nel cuore della comunità cinese. C’è chi chiacchiera in piccoli gruppi, chi si gode il pallido sole invernale seduto sulle panchine ma i più (soprattutto donne) giocano a carte sui tavoli di pietra. Luogo speciale dove ammirare l’anima multietnica di New York.
