Great little pub!

I was looking for a place to grab some lunch and a pint, and saw the sign for this place and figured why not check it out. Happy I did! The staff were very friendly and the sandwich and fried I had were delicious. Also had no problem getting a table right away.

Nice outdoor seated area

My husband I stopped off for a beer each costing $20 - we sat in the outside seating area which was great for watching all the comings and goings in the busy area.

Disappointed with what used to be a favourite stop in Times Square.

Used to be one of my favourite stops in NYC, but we were very disappointed this time. There is now a performer on the second floor, blasting mediocre, karaoke style, Frank Sinatra tunes which means you cannot carry on a conversation with the person next to you. The service, drinks, and food, were still excellent, although it was difficult to hear for ordering. Use care when paying your tab, this property shares the practice with many NY bars and restaurants of adding the 18% tip, and if you pay with a cc instead of cash it will also add in an additional 2% (this is a post-covid norm in NY now).

good food

food was very good with huge portions. my only complaint is the $8.46 credit card surcharge. I am from CT, so maybe this is common in NYC- but have not run across this before, or maybe I just never noticed.

over cooked food/ surcharges/expensive.

Ordered 3 appetizers including the 2 trays of wings, 6 on each plate . 3 over cooked wings on each plate.Waiter said we are very busy cant be helped.Was quit obvious what they tried to do.. .While eating the appetizers, the main course arrived.Again, waiter said it could not be helped, very busy. Kitchens fault.I told him that was not a good reason.He said sorry and walked away...When the bill came there was a surcharge and 18% gratuity.I told the waiter I'm not giving you 18% and a surcharge because you did nothing to fix the 2 problems.We ended up paying what they asked for because we couldn't wait any longer. Very expensive

Cäcilia and the boss talked to us late at night and told us lots of interesting things. Thank you for that. We really enjoyed the evening and had a lot of fun. The beer is great, the location is perfect. We would love to come back, but we live in Germany. Best wishes from the sisters and their two boys!

Watch out!

We knew this going to be pricey as it is Time Square, but the food was mediocre. I did not like the automatic 18% gratuity (no option) as the service was not good, but they charged me a credit card surcharge - not mentioned on menu etc. Apple Pay would not include it, so could not pay by Apple, had to go inside where credit card was used and they took the surcharge before I could stop them. I was advised by a friend and by the hotel front desk that as they did not advertise the surcharge on the menu etc this is illegal in NY Avoid these scam artists.

Nettes Lokal!

Waren im April/Mai zwei mal dort und waren (sehr) zufrieden.
Die Angestellten sind freundlich, das Essen ist wirklich gut, die Portionen (zu) groß.
Kein langes Warten auf die Bestellung, obwohl das Lokal sehr gut besucht war.
Wir können es weiterempfehlen!
